    Refreshing to see an actual bar in centro and not just a discoteca, welcoming bar tenders drinks on par with mixologists around the world. And mostly bilingual. We came here a few times and were happy with our experience, had live American football on during the playoffs so they keep up with world games not just only football like most other establishments. Only one star off because there’s much cheaper places to drink, but these prices are still below your typical major world city prices for cocktails. Definitely try it out for an evening your not ready to retire.

    This place was recommended by a local who owns a winery and frequents many establishments in Mexico City. It’s a cozy and sophisticated vibe with both tourists and locals from what I could tell. Our friend ordered a drink that was green tomato juice with mezcal, that was the basic explanation but I forget the name of it- and it was SO good.

    My favorite wine bar in CDMX. The sommeliers really know their stuff! So exciting to see that. They explain all the wines in-depth and can carry on a very knowledgeable conversation about wine in general, which I love. The service is top-notch in general too.
    They feature award-winning labels from the Belgian wine competition after which the establishment is named, usually offering around 10 different wines to sample. They have 50/100/150 ml sampling sizes and change their tasting menu weekly. Their small but tasty tapas menu complements their wines perfectly as well. Try the mushroom crostini for sure!
    The venue is not cheap, but it is worth it, certainly if you are a discerning lover of fine wines - and want to try some excellent hard-to-find labels. It's still the first place I head whenever I am in the city.

    So I'm just visiting Mexico City for the week, and I went to a work shop. I'm a complete beginner and I don't really speak any Spanish. That was fine, they taught me pottery from scratch and spoke good English.

    I used the potters wheel for the first time (fun! ) and made a bowl. I really liked my teacher Raquel, she was very patient and helpful. It's a lovely building (a bit hard to find, it's next to the 'le macron' shop, and it has a beautiful huge wooden door. See the picture). Things to know before you go;

    - it takes quite a while to get things back from the kiln, so check on that before you go.
    - you will probably get clay on yourself so wear clothes you can get messy

    Overall great for groups, couples it singles. They do one off sessions or courses. I think this is well worth it - check out the pictures of my bowls!
