Unique Orozco murals from a Mexican Muralist era in the same time of Diego Rivera, that brings inquisitive minds to question industrialism, colonialism and the impact on Mexican culture.

If you’re into cemeteries or are just into history then this is a great tour to experience.
My wife and I came here for the 1:00pm tour. It’s guided tours only, no walking around on your own. The cost for a tour is about $7usd per person. There’s a few tour times a day, best to check their website for more info.
We arrived about 12:30pm and we were the only two Americans there so we ended up getting a private tour with an English-speaking man for just the two of us, he started the tour about 12:45pm which was great.
There’s lots of history in here including the founders graves who were from Scotland.
It’s not a real big cemetery but it’s full of beautiful monuments and everything is explained to you very well. The cemetery is also home of the Cuervo tequila family as well.
We love this tour and visiting here and highly recommend to anyone looking for something to do in Guadalajara.

This was my second visit, and I enjoyed it more this time. The security guards and employees were all friendly and helpful, and admission is free. There is not a lot to see here, but the murals are spectacular.

Revolving exhibits are showcasing Mexican artists. The building alone is worth seeing even if a particular artists does not interest you. Even better, no admission fee.

Nice place to go with your family when visiting down town Guadalajara. It does not take much time of your day and it is fun to meet many characters as wax figures. Honestly it is not the most awesome place you can visit in down town, but it is fun to take an hour of your day to check it out. The entrance tickets are very affordable.

This is a lovely museum that is free to enter. Orozo's murals are in the theatre, which is immediately in front of you when you enter the building. There are also temporary exhibits, and a nice coffee shop with an outdoor terrace to enjoy a coffee/tea or a light meal. Worth a visit!

I've long said that it was odd for me to love this military museum so much, me being a peacenik from way back, and it turns out the the local English-language newspaper in Guadalajara recently featured a review entitled 'Can a peacenik dig Guadalajara's Army & Air Force Museum?' Its author and I agree, that the reason we can so enjoy visiting this museum is that it doesn't celebrate bellicosity at all, but all aspects of social history -- revealing such fascinating stories as that of early Mexican aviation pioneers, or the many ways today's army contributes to community safety, disaster relief, etc. For anyone interested in WWII history, there's even a real-life example of the planes flown by the famous 201st Squadron in the Philippines -- along with various other historic airships, and a collection of large replica medieval siege-machines and such; all of those exhibited in the large, green (and peaceful) outdoor area. The building itself is lovely, the exhibits very well-designed, and the cadets who serve as docents are -- have been for all my visits, including those with large groups of students -- unfailingly well-informed, and passionate about the material they're presenting. Well worth a visit -- for Spanish-speakers starting at age 10 or thereabouts, and for those who understand a bit of Spanish, or have an informal interpreter to accompany them...

This is a free and interesting place, with plenty of information provided. Everything is in Spanish, and when visiting it they were prepared for the Easter.

    Paseo Chapultepec
Walk down the center of this Paseo to see the six monuments for the teens depicted on the main monument. Lots of restaurants and bars along this street which I’m sure is hopping at night. My husband went to school in Mexico from age 5-11, I was surprised that he remembered Juan Escutia .... according to legend, in an act of bravery he wrapped the Mexican flag around his body and jumped from the top of the Chapultepec castle to keep the US from capturing the flag. Lots of tourist police on this street as well.

We saw what looked to be a government building with a large entry courtyard. We asked the guards at the door if we could enter. It was the Palacio de Gobierno and not a museum. We went in and started wondering around and found the Orozco Murals. We had no idea from the ground floor what was up in the stair well. Government workers walked about in and out of offices and everyone greeted us as we explored the building and admired the murals.

Though this is not a particularly large museum it is worth a visit. There are exhibits about the very first newspaper in Mexico (only 7 editions were published) and many examples of the early machines that were used to print newspapers.
