What travelers are saying
- MasterP007Sevierville, TN1,335 contributionsLooking from afar it feels like Miami. The beautiful coastline and modern buildings being built year round. Our cruise ship stopped here and we decided that this was the place. Lots of restaurants, bars, sculptures, etc are up and down the avenue. Enjoy!Written April 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- dakaro8884 contributionsIs really lovely! is you like calm better in the afternoon, is you like busy places then at night is all full but the place looks awesome in the nights with all the lightsWritten March 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AnyLong Beach, CA19 contributionsBe ready to walk up over 300 steps to get to destination .. bring loose clothing and walking shoes.. they sell water on bottom and top of faro .. also you can see the crystal view for 30 pesos for 3 minWritten April 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kayla C4 contributionsThe beach is very pretty and peaceful. The sand is soft and there aren't any seashells. The restaurants are good but make sure you keep track of how much you're eating/drinking because it can get expensive. The water was nice and it wasn't too crowded. I like that there aren't any hotels along the beach because it makes it feel more secluded and quiet.
My only suggestion is do NOT get a massage here. My family all got massages and the 2 ladies were very rough. They used a hammer tool directly on my spine and hit my boyfriend’s elbow with it. I was about to cry it hurt so bad!! The lady knew she was hurting me because I kept moving away from her and clinching the table. They also popped our necks and backs. We woke up this morning and we are all in severe pain! The beach is great but do NOT get a massage from here because it will feel like torture.Written June 17, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - dalessiopietroMurray, UT455 contributionsEvery step is a new discovery. Every corner leads to what feels like a new, yet very historic neighbourhood. The dips, hills, sharp drops, old streets and businesses, as well as schools, churches, steps and pathways are welcoming, and, at times, can be challenging.Written April 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Carol JSedona, AZ69 contributionsThis is a beautiful cathedral just a few blocks from the Plaza Machado. It is located in the Plaza Principal which is also lovely. The cathedral is open and the inside is more beautiful than the outside. This is a must see. The plaza across the street is filled with people walking, eating ice cream, and enjoying Mazatlan's beautiful weather. There is a line of shoe shine chairs along the side overlooking the cathedral with benches to sit and relax.Written March 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lorna fEdmonton, Canada123 contributionsMarina was very nice and staff and catamaran was great. Deer Island was a bit of a disappointment. Washroom facilities - disgusting. Food so so. Views great, lovely beach. Activities well run - banana boat, kayaks, snorkeling.Written February 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tom MMazatan, Mexico38 contributionsThis was built for another error I like the back of the second floor The sides seats may have poles blocking your view. Small venue next to the Machado squareWritten September 19, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Amanda KerrBlackfalds, Canada115 contributionsWe stayed at the Riu Emerald Bay so we spent time on Playa Brujas. I would recommend grabbing a boogie board or renting a surf board. The waves are great! No seaweed on the beach and it is very big so not crowded at all. Lots of vendors around too.Written December 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Lots of construction going on. Walked through a hotel to the beach and there are amazing views of bay, beach and islands.
Looks like it would be a nice place to stay and there is a lot to do and lots of places to eat and shop.Written February 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - El1LoboGranbury, TX1,518 contributionsFun to walk and watch people and see such beautiful scenery. - Sharp716 contributionsThe bus terminal in Mazatlan is small but clean. I took the ETN bus line from Mazatlan to Durango. The bus was first quality with wide seats and clean bathrooms. The new highway is amazing! I learned that in the past it took 12 hours to get from Mazatlan to Druango but with this new road it only takes 4.5 to 5 hours. A good amount of tunnels were needed to go across instead of around the mountains but the Baluarte Bridge just takes your breath away, standing 400 meters above the Baluarte river, and surrounded by all of the Sierra Madre muntains.Written February 7, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mac LNew York City, NY49 contributionsThere are many beaches in Mazatlan that are loud with vendors hawking items at you so that it is challenging to relax. In Cerritos, there is a totally different vibe. You can read a book, write in a journal, chat with a friend, and the atmosphere is very chill and uncrowded. Love this place!Written August 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Virginia SLa Mirada16 contributionsSmall quaint and cute village to visit. The people here are very nice and friendly. They have lovely eateries here and good snaks sold by the people there.
