Definitely different and intriguing! Deans Blue Hole is something to see. For our visit there was a platform in the middle of the hole because I guess they are using it for free dives so it ruined the pics. The days we went it was too windy for our drone and that’s the best way to get a picture. Wear sneakers and hike around and up the cliff then at least you get a good camera angle. It is a beautiful attraction and you could easily spend the day here. Nature is incredible and the fact that this exists you must see it!!

Best kept secret in Bahamas! This cave is a natural wonder and Leonard Cartwright who owns the property and offers tours has a wealth of knowledge. His love for this heritage site is obvious as he works hard to keep it clean, walkable and accessible for visitors. Learn about the history of Long Island and explore a unique cave system which is the largest in the Bahamas. Very affordable! Worth ten times what Leonard charges in our opinion!!

Amazing hidden gem! The most crystal clear water that is so calm and serene. We enjoyed this place with our large group and the staff treated us like family. We had everything we could need and more! The restaurant food and drinks were worth the wait. Shoutout to fabulous employees: Pinky, Kelly, Nadine, Idella, Jasmine, and more. We will be back! P.S. Bring bug spray for morning and night.

We have visited Long Island again 3.5 years later... and while having the car it was a no brainer to visit this part of the island - despite not as nice and shiny water the visit was once again very pleasant and rich in vistas - this place is secluded, peaceful and picturesque - while the first time we did it on the "way back" to the hotel and were somewhat in a rush... if that word even remotely can be used next to Bahamas... this time we actually stayed next door and were able to take our sweet time - I truly recommend doing so!

As a Bahamian with Long Island roots, this was an awesome and educational experience. I learnt the history and culture of Long Island and The Bahamas. It was fun to recognize certain artifacts from spending time in Long Island or with grandparents in my childhood. This is a must visit when visiting Long Island.

We were lucky enough to stay on the property next to the pool. We went to the pool nearly every day. We went at high tide, low tide…just to soak this in. The tide pool sits inside the roaring Atlantic Ocean. When the tide comes in it fills and you can watch the ocean moving all around you as you sit in this lil oasis. There is a walking boardwalk to the pool at Moonshine restaurant and rock stairs into the pool. Bring your camera it’s truly amazing!

Didn't know what to expect coming to this side of the island, other than the restaurant here but apparently the bridge is brand new allowing people to walk (no cars!) to the other cay where you can access yet another beach/cove. Pretty mangroves around - it's not a must but somehow I really enjoyed the area and the little pathway to beach was something refreshing to do as a small walk.

We arrived at a small building overlooking the bay at about 8:45 am, which our hostess on the island told us was a good time to go. Inside were about 8-10 local farmers sitting with their wares and chatting. One woman was doing straw work to pass the time.

There were many tropical fruits and some vegetables there for better prices than the local grocery stores (and many of them weren't available at the stores). The farmers were willing to chat with us when we asked questions about the fruits, and some of our questions turned into a lively discussion that was a pleasure to listen to and gave a window into the joys and concerns of life in the Family Islands.

We bought several types of mangos, soursop, papaya, watery rose apple, and a spinach-like vegetable. We tried island "plums"--June plums were in season--for the first time and bought some. We bought a loaf of fresh homemade bread, which tasted amazing. We also bought some of Ms. Eva's homemade jam--fabulous!

I highly recommend going to the Farmers market if you're near Salt Pond on a Saturday morning, both for the excellent produce and for the chance to interact with residents.

Lee was the greatest. She showed us everything on the island and helped us anytime. She was always very kind and made us feel welcomed.

A big thank to Zoe and Captain Lindo for making this dream become true! I had a wonderful day exploring Long Islands waters. My disability was not a problem at all because they took care of everything.

My husband and I went on a wildlife safari trip with Teresa and Charles, and it was just magical. Turns out, its very windy in The Bahamas in August, so we went with their advice on the best day to go out (they were right!). We learned about mangroves and their importance to the environment and as a fish and turtle nursery, saw giant starfish, sharks, rays, and honestly too many turtles to keep count. We had a great lunch on a beautiful secluded cay, then did some reef fishing - they fish were practically jumping in the boat. We had more than enough for 2 meals! Teresa and Charles even navigated my seasickness with empathy (bring dramamine lol). They even dropped off a beautiful, cleaned conch that we found in the flats before we left which was a beautiful touch. Book with them - you won't be disappointed!

Luke was recommended to us as the best boat/snorkeling/reef fishing guide on the island. We had a great day out along the east Atlantic coast, in beautiful snorkel and fishing spots among reef fish, turtles, rays, barracuda, and sharks, all tailored to our requirements. Would recommend highly -

FANTASTIC DAY. Marvin is amazing. Very knowledgeable and such a nice, friendly individual. Took us to see the pigs, sand bars, turtles, starfish, and rays. Amazing views from the ocean. Would highly recommend this trip with Marvin.
