Try to get there at low tide. Chop is probably at a minimum and visibility at its best. Probably the best snorkeling on the island. It's $4 to use the facilities, about $20 to rent equipment, and there are sundry other fees for floats, beach chairs and the like. They do have fresh water showers, although I imagine using soap would be frowned upon. Our guide suggested shampooing in the restroom if necessary. Don't forget that sunscreen on your back--It does NOT take long to burn. Better yet, wear a long-sleeve t-shirt. We went on two days two days apart, and the experiences in the water were very different. Don't be afraid to come here twice i yo have the time. It's that nice in the water. Food is reasonable. We recommend the grilled grouper sandwich. They are making an artificial reef out of a couple hundred hollow concrete balls they call "fish condos". Check them out, especially if it's choppy. They may be packed with fish sheltering from the chop. The ones in the middle had the most fish in them when we went, so check them all out. Two black marks: 1) Wifi access is $6. If you are driving, it's nice to be able to plot a course back without having your pocket picked. 2) Lunch orders can get screwed up. It happened to us, and the-customer-is-right is not a thing here. We had to get our tour group owner to go to bat for us.

Everything about Paradise cove is fantastic, snorkeling, the entire staff, reef is very serene and the beach also. Not touristy at all which we appreciate. The sea turtles are ever present and the interesting artificial reef project is very close in to the beach with lots of tropical fish. Btw we recommend keeping it simple and take a cab on your own. Thanks Barry for creating a really special experience at Paradise cove

Just spent a week diving with Sunn Odyssey Divers. This is my third year. They are great ! Nick & Karen are wonderful people and Nick is a great captain & instructor. Their divemasters Kelly and Ashley are top-notch. Their boat is very comfortable and quickly gets you out to the dive sites.

My only problem is that I can only dive with them once a year (although I'm trying to fix that!)

This was the best excursion we have ever had. Small private trip for our Family of 5. Shamir was an exceptional guide and he brought our family into the back country of the island. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all things adventure and the history of the island. We went to Owls Hole and it was a very special experience. He brought us to the national park and gave us a private tour of the ecosystems of the island. 100% will book again for other adventures.

Our family has had a very rough last 9 months. We lost our mom in October 2018 and my dad passed of a broken heart in April 2019 so this vacation was a much needed get away. We drove down to Ft. Lauderdale and took the boat over to Freeport. The trip was a very rough one as we passed through a storm. When we got to port i was not feeling 100% but we were approached by our driver and boy did he make me smile. His light bantor picking on my husband and son was a good start to our visit. As we were sitting on the bus we noticed him holding up his sign "Pat & Diane Tours". All 3 of us looked at each other and smiled. You see my parents names were Pat & Diana. If the spelling would have been the same i would have burst into tears but this was definitely a sign from them that we were doing what we were suppose to be at that moment in time. When we got picked up to head back to the boat we were again greeted by the same driver. He remembered us and he asked how our trip was. I am not sure if this was Pat himself but he sure is an asset to this company. Ty for the transportation to and from our resort. I would recommend Pat & Diane for everyone heading to Freeport.

Just finished our ride. What a great place. The horses are incredibly well taken care of and gentle. And the owners are awesome people keeping the horse experience alive in Grand Bahamas! We learned a ton about the local birds, butterflies and fauna. And the beach portion of the ride was exhilarating. Thanks again!

This is a friendly group who will do what they can to get you into the water.

That said, sometimes the weather does not cooperate. In my case, I was able to get in two great dices with Mike before some high winds prevented any further diving for me. Each day that I checked in, hoping that the weather would calm down enough for safe diving conditions, the staff were all uniformly great to talk with and candid in their opinions of whether we would be diving.

Although I did not end up making 80% of the dives that I had hoped to make while I was there, I left with a positive impression of this organization. I booked my dives and my stay through PADI. So, Reef Oasis worked with PADI to reimburse me for the missed dives. Both groups were very helpful.

My hope is to go again and finish what I started. The reefs I did visit were filled with channels, corals, and a variety of fish. We even had a fair sized black tip reef shark come to check us out (in a friendly manner). My dive buddy for the trip was able to go on one of the shark dives later, once I had returned home, and he reported it to be an absolutely amazing experience.

    I do recommend this group.

I came to Freeport to Scuba and I must say this scuba dive shop was awesome! Fred and Melinda did a great job answering all questions and took us to great dive spots. They knew lots of history of the dive sites and the area. Justin and Chestla were great crew! They took care of us on the boat, cleaned our gear nightly and had a positive attitude. No regrets on choosing them. I would dive with them again! Highly recommend them!

We took the kayak tour through Lucayan National Park. It was great. The cave was really cool
We also enjoyed kayaking through the mangroves in a tandem kayak. The upside down jellyfish are hard to spot, you have to be looking for them the whole time. But it was a beautiful trip. Our tour guide was Sam; he was really knowledgeable and funny. We loved our lunch at Garden of the Groves Cafe. Gold Rock Beach was also a highlight. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the island and who can kayak for 90+ minutes.

This was so much fun! Captain Rico and his crew were absolutely outstanding! It was a fun day in the water cruising, swimming, and snorkeling. We took our 83 year old mom and Captain Rico and his crew helped Mom participate in many activities. I can’t say enough good things. Just a beautiful day and experiences.

We did a 4 hour snorkel adventure to Peterson’s Cay. It was an amazing experience. I have never snorkeled before, and Captain AJ was very knowledgeable happy to offer assistance. We saw beautiful corals and fish. Some members of our group saw sea turtles. It was unforgettable! We look forward to doing it again. Thank you Captain AJ!
