Our hotel shuttled us to the beach and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations! It was quiet and beautiful. I did not see any public restrooms, but A short walk to Blackbeard’s and you can get a great lunch, drinks and clean restrooms. In front of Blackbeard’s you can rent lounge chairs and umbrellas, also jet skis.

We took the shuttle to the port. Unfortunately most of the shops were closed. The shops that were open the shop keepers were very pushy. There’s also no pricing to n anything.

BEAUTIFUL artwork. This artist’s mind is so brilliant. Although we weren’t able to purchase a painting, I absolutely recommend visiting here!!

Last port of call on our 4 day cruise. There are several local booths in this area. few other places to eat and get a drink. Just a nice little place to walk around and pass a few hours.

We stayed on Silver Point Beach for a week. The sand is soft, the waves are chill. Great spot to watch the sunrise or sunset. There is also a walking path along the road by the water. Lots of small eateries nearby too.

I basically agree with all the prior reviews posted here. Calm waters, soft sand, some sandbars at low tide. Plenty of parking available. It's just calm and relaxing.

Whenever I travel like to look for something made locally in the places I visit. From past travels, I know that woodworking is popular in the Bahamas. So I was really happy to find Unique Arts and Crafts in Freeport. The small shop in the port straw market has a variety of carving to choose from. Reasonable prices and you can actually see the artist carving works right there. Which is a huge plus for me because oftentimes it's hard to tell if it was made there or somewhere else.

The cruise ship docks right alongside Freeport so it's a very short walk to port terminal area. Several shops and bars line the relatively small area and there's the opportunity to access the Freeport free WiFi as well. The Caribbean vibe was provided by a large, colourful market. In truth, it doesn't take long to walk round but, because our stopover was for the morning only, my wife and I didn't have the opportunity to go a great deal further.

Not sure I can top the reviews above. The staff was incredible and the food just as good. Fish market right there too. Want a car wash? You can get that as well. Very eclectic place. You won't leave hungry. Definitely a place where the locals know the quality. Headed back in January for 7 weeks and cannot wait to stop in for lunch and to pick up some fresh catch.

Stopped here as part of an island bus tour, this large house (that still bares the scares of the recent hurricane) contains a small perfume factory that sells their products as well offers a tour of their facility. The ladies that operate the facility are charming, friendly, and informative. Don't be put off by the exterior, because the inside is filled with period furniture and historical artifacts, so watch your step. We were cautioned before the tour that the aromas may be challenging to some but I found it pleasing. The tour meanders through several rooms and down a few steps. The tour is a walking tour and does not accommodate wheel chairs. After seeing and hearing how their perfume is made, numerous products can be purchased, including "scents" for dogs. We were told you can even arrange to make your own perfume if you like. Nice stop. Note, next door is a small store that offers a variety of snacks and beverages including a bathroom.
