The snorkeling was great, water was very pretty. The people were very friendly as well. The facilities were pretty rough.

This was the HIGHLIGHT of our cruise. WOW, what an amazing time. If you want an experience that is extremely more personal and intimate than that of the cruise ship, book this excursion. Bryce picked us up at the airport and then it was about an hour drive to the boat. He took us to a remote part of the island where the cruise excursions don't go. We saw dolphins, nurse sharks, eagle rays, starfish (the size of basketballs), crazy amounts of fish, and turtles that were simply mesmerizing. Then we did a drift snorkel where the current carried us along - there was no swimming involved. We got a great history of the island, saw a local fishing village, and even got introduced to a fun song that Bryce sang. I simply can not encourage anyone enough to book this excursion. You won't be disappointed!!!

I highly recommend this tour because Hida, as a Bahamian resident, really knows the island well and can customize the tour for those who attend. There is a maximum of only 4 people so you will get a very personal experience! This tour lasts most of the day and you will see so much more than you would from a cruise shore excursion (for those arriving by cruise ship like myself). I plan to come back and do a boat tour with her next time!

Good fun! Brice & Rico were wonderful. Brice was very informative about island knowledge/history. It was a cultural immersion with individual attention to our group. Kayak trip was in a beautiful area-saw starfish, conch, fish, stingrays, sharks in the distance and one turtle popped his head up. Lunch was good-sandwich, chips & water. They then took us to a spot to feed and see the turtles. Overall-highly recommend. Make sure to have extra cash for parking and tips!

This excursion is very family friendly. My husband & I bought our 6 month old. Charlie was accommodating & knowledgeable. We would recommend without hesitation to anyone.

    The good-
    Clean beach
    Pigs seem healthy/fed enough

    The bad-
Unfortunately many people (my self included) will confuse this with the actual seining with the pigs (that’s on me for not properly researching)

Tour expectations are communicated very poorly - you will spend 3 or so hours doing this for about 15/20 minutes of pig.

A fairly new type of excursion for me. Mature & Paced. Well executed from beginning to end, with a delightful infinity pool and hot tub at the beautiful beach at the end. Includes all you need for a perfect day on the island: shopping, a beer stop & a white sand beach!

The excursion began with us boarding a clean, air conditioned bus. Phillip was our driver. He was entertaining & gave us continued banter with facts & history on Freeport. Marilyn was our guide at the Garden of the Groves. She was friendly, humorous & full of history about the garden.

The garden is pretty, but not terrifically maintained. The walk through was not strenuous & most steps provided a hand rail.

Mikey was a great tour guide! He picked us up on time from the port, transportation was very spacious & accommodating. He is very knowledgeable of the islands history & gave us a history lesson on the go, which made the ride go nice & smooth. Our photo shoot happened on a nice clear beach just like the photos. Mikey made you feel comfortable during the shoot & showed you the pics to see if you liked how they came out. Restaurant on the beach was great with $5 drinks. I would recommend the red snapper. Overall, 10/10 would recommend. We have made a Bahamian friend for life.

We got off our ship not knowing what we were going to do as we hadn't booked an excursion. In asking about the Mamma Gal Native Experiences I had read reviews about, we met Irene, who ended up being our guide. She took us to an awesome Farmers Market, lighthouse, and to the best restaurant on the island with its own private beach. She drove us around between stops explaining how the generational areas are set up, how the government works and showing and telling us about various landmarks. Irene was a wealth of information, answered all our questions and we had an amazing time with her. This experience was so much more than we expected. I recommend it 1000%! We had so much FUN!!!

Absolutely fabulous experience. Anyone on Grand Bahama Island needs to go. Very educational. Coral Vita is working to rebuild the coral reefs and working toward bringing their technology throughout the world.

Bait and Switch - the trip is to Rainbow Reef, but they keep advertising it as Peterson Cay, which they say has been destroyed by hurricane. Rainbow Reef is huge, but lots of dead coral and not many fish. I saw more fish out in front of the resort in the swimming area. Never again.

This was such a fun day! Hida the guide has lived here all her life and knows so much information! She took us all around town, showed us some amazing historical locations, along with a museum tour, the best local conk vendor, the Grand Bahamas brewery, and then ending at an authentic beach side fish fry.
My wife and I had an incredible time and recommended this 10 out of 10!
