The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas
#1 of 17 Museums in Nassau
Because I love art and have visited many museums, I must admit that I am partial to artistic spaces and I like to linger for a while to take it all in--the space, artwork, and atmosphere.
We had a personalized tour around the museum and our guide, Anna was our tour guide and she was very informative, we enjoyed this museum very much!

Whenever I travel, I like to get a feel for the nation's history and often try to get into one or two museums.
This is a small, but very well done museum, which provides an excellent history of slavery in the Bahamas, as well as the workings of the prior Governors, including the Duke of Windsor, and current political parties.

As I have the experience of visiting museums in so many diverse areas, I must concur that Graycliff's Heritage Museum is a "best kept secret" right here in my own backyard.
I highly recommend visiting this quaint history museum building for a quick overview of the cultural and anthropologic history of the Bahamas from the Lucayan Indians to present day .
