- Brooke B4 contributionsFun for the whole family. My picky teens loved this place as did my husband and I. I don't remember the last time we all laughed and had so much fun together. There is something for everyone here. The not so lazy river was our favorite however. Even though we were there during spring break and expected high crowds - it wasn't overly crowed.Written March 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Connie S1 contributionEveryone at Blue Lagoon Island was welcoming, helpful and kind. Their business is tourism and they do it extremely well. The island is lovely, well maintained and the water is beautiful. The only caution I can add is to advise you to bring cash even if it says cashless. Everyone was so helpful that I wanted to tip them but couldn't. Lesson learned - ALWAYS bring cash.Written March 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HudsonmccrawVirginia Beach, VA2,545 contributionsWe had several hours to check out Nassau, and among the tops on our list was Queen's Staircase. It was a beautiful place near downtown Nassau, and the temperatures are a bit cooler due to the trees, shrubbery, and the natural walls surrounding the steps to the bottom. It is quite beautiful, and we enjoyed stopping by and relaxing there for a while. Anyone stopping in the capital city of the Bahamas, owes it to themselves to stop by Queen's Staircase.Written March 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - T2310SBlauralMount Uniacke, Canada30 contributionsAwesome water park. Lots of different slides from what Atlantis has. Plus the wave pool. Take your sunscreen and apply often!Written March 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HudsonmccrawVirginia Beach, VA2,545 contributionsThis is a nice beach, and worth coming there for. It wasn't crowded at all, and it allowed us to have some good down time for straight up relaxation. There are a few concession stands for food and drink, and they have restrooms nearby. There are a few hotels along Cable Beach, so those visiting Nassau not by cruise ship might consider staying there to enjoy the proximity of this solidly good beach. We wished that we could've stayed there a bit longer.Written March 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VeronicaHouston, TX1 contributionBefore we left on our adult family cruise vacation to celebrate my birthday I searched all over for a place an excursion all 8 of us could enjoy! I wanted a place that didn't feel so commercial overly crowded but also safe! I can tell you THIS IS A MUST SEE, A MUST VISIT BEAUTIFUL LOCATION and looking forward to going back with more time.
From the moment I called Clifton Park asking lots of questions, the staff was so friendly my coordinator Bernique was so helpful and accommodating . We had to be picked up much earlier than normal time and brought back to cruise port and Wow they made it happen! Trish our tour guide was the Coolest Most Fun tour guide we had ever experienced we felt like family by the end of it all! They feed us a delicious lunch we even had time for both tours the Snorkel and Heritage! Our Snorkel guide had a smile the whole time super chilled and patient with our first time Snorkelers and all of us ! Edmond within the park kept our things safe on the bus he has the the kindest smile and I enjoyed my conversation with him he and whole staff spoiled me coming by with birthday wishes , singing Happy Birthday over and over I felt really special surrounded by beautiful people! We wanted to do our own walking tour of the city and Pirates of Nassau was one of our first stops. As I entered the museum you encounter a surprising large replica of a Pirate Ship. After taking everything in within that room, I had a slight thought, “Is this all it is?”, boy was I wrong. There is a doorway in the back of the ship where it opens up to the rest of the museum, it was a fun clever way to get you emerged in the museum. We brought our three kids in their 20’s and they all enjoyed it. Tip: there are stair, but they provide handicap elevators. The museum was done very well and provided much information about the pirates that inhabited Nassau. We stayed about an hour exploring, what a fun way to start our Nassau journey!Written March 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - xtina989Seattle, WA14 contributionsWe went during lunch time on a Wednesday and very few places were open. May be more lively on weekends or when a cruise ship is docked. Not much to do beyond this 2 -3 block stretch of restaurants and a few souvenir stalls. But there are places to park, a public restroom building centrally located across the street (none in restaurants), and driveable to downtown and beaches.
The restaurant we went to gave large portions! Know that you may be able to share a dish between 2 people for most dishes priced over $20 per plate.Written January 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cmacf1Catonsville, Maryland, United States303 contributionsMy encounter with Bonnie the sea lion was amazing! The trainer brought us out into the sea lion area and Bonnie swam back and forth, allowing us to touch her back, she showed us her fingernails (yes, sea lions have fingernails) and her teeth. She clapped her flippers when we clapped for her and smiled. The trainer obviously has worked a lot with Bonnie. After the encounter in the water, we went onto land and posed for photos. Yes, the photos are overpriced, and yes, I felt compelled to buy a photo because it's just so darn sweet, but I had such a great time that I didn't mind. Highly recommend this activity on Blue Lagoon Island!Written February 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
