What travelers are saying
- GRZChicago, IL7,565 contributionsSo for starters I should point out that we visited this place on our own vs. a tour package...
Which I would probably suggest going with the latter as most likely you will end up not only having the place to yourself, as we did, but you also would get the rum tour (not the Old Road Rum from St Kitts but the Brinley Gold Shipwreck Rum, which is more of a flavored liquor type of rum and thus may feet a profile of a person who is looking for "fun" then seeking "a rare rum" of an experience - and I am saying that with the most respect and a positive advice). Also, the place has a restaurant on the spot and a pool which I can see that if you do it with a tour, I assume, you utilize both - considering the house is on a hill with a nice view I can see myself spending here more time as part of an organized tour.
TIP: As to our "tour" - it's a brief intro about the place - $5 USD per person cash to enter the place and you can walk around inside/outside the building - my wife liked it more than I did (it reminder me of Lincoln's House tour in Springfield, IL - old house with old furniture on how people lived back then... the "better doing people - outside the garden's were more of my thing, the St Kitts & Nevis shaped mini pond was super cool) but what I enjoyed a lot was the gift shop - very nice selection of locally made goods and very reasonably priced - credit cards accepted.Written May 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - David SMiddlesbrough, UK1,346 contributionsFairly typical cruise port shopping mall attached to the cruise ship terminal. It contains everything you would expect in this type of place: shop, bars, café, etc. It's a short 5 minute walk to the town. Lots going on and very Caribbean.Written April 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- David SMiddlesbrough, UK1,346 contributionsOur second visit to this beautiful charismatic Cathedral with a fascinating history. Located just by Independence Square, the building has atmospheric charm and is a definite stop off if in the area. My wife and I popped in when in the location as part of a short stop off from a cruise tour of the Caribbean and enjoyed the opportunity to return to the site.Written April 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- David SMiddlesbrough, UK1,346 contributionsThis historic building is one of the first you see after leaving the cruise ship terminal at Port Zante in Basseterre. It contains many fascinating artefacts related to the history of St Kitts and a visit is an interesting distraction.Written March 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Capricious1Boca Raton, FL45 contributionsThere were 4 ships in port that day, rather unusual for St. Kitts, but we decided to head off the beaten path where the crowds weren't. So we hired a taxi driver who took us SLOWLY along the island's Old Road to the town of Sandy Point, which is spread out over a considerable area. We wre headed to learn the story of the song Amazing Grace. The author of that song, once a slave trader--and even, for a time, a slave himself--underwent a major spiritual transformation and in Sandy Point, in a tiny museum housed in a Baptist Church, we learned the moving story of the man, his song and how it became an anthem for those who would end slavery. Don't look for big and slick. Instead , expect charming and heartfelt. The experience combines a movie and a stroll through the museum. We loved every minute.Written November 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Reslysten54Vienna, VA1,709 contributionsA large display gives a chronological overview of milestones in Nevis' history as well as globally. A set of simple, succinct displays cover the slave trade, abolition, and later colonial history. There's a section on crops, particularly sugarcane, that used to be the economic backbone of this island. There's also some more contemporary information about life on this island.
If you have a chance to go to the National Museum in Basseterre you will find much of the same ground covered, but in greater detail.Written January 28, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - welshman279North Wales307 contributionsGiven the history of the gallery, it was nice to see quality items being sold. - Esther SGeorgetown, Guyana468 contributionsThe museum is small but has interesting pieces not just of Mr. Nelson but also Nevis itself and it's national heroes. Photographs are not allowed but I would recommend it if you like history.Written December 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- OntarioTravel3Toronto, Canada896 contributionsStill standing from Colonial times, this is a beautiful stone structure alongside the memorial square/park of Charlestown. - LymeLisa2 contributionsVery pleased we booked Tatum's Taxis on our recent trip to St Kitts. We were met at the Port terminal and Toussaint helped us decide which beach would better suit our needs. Taxi was spotless. A friendly, efficient, excellent service that we wouldn't hesitate to use again. Highly recommend.Written February 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Cheryl RYork Springs, PA71 contributionsThe best place for great cigars! This place is perfect to get & smoke a hand-rolled Cuban, to hang out while chatting with the knowledgeable owner and people watch at the port. This guy knows his cigars, has a great lounge inside as well as comfortable seating outside. I highly recommend to anyone who has ever had an interest in cigars! We stop here every time we're on the island.Written April 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Richard Cmilford, United States13 contributionsFor quality, price and service Noble is the best. It can also turn a great vacation into a WOW vacation dealing with there family business. Once your on board with them they always check in to see how everything is and if you need anything else for the holidays or whenever. The Noble family becomes a part of your family.Written May 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
