- KCMLiveWashington DC, DC336 contributionsNo matter where you stay in the Cayman Islands, Seven Mile Beach MUST be part of your visit. We stayed about 5 minutes away and we were unsure how to access the beach. However you can park for free on the street and there are multiple public paths you can walk down to access the beach. We parked, walked down the path, and eventually swam in front of the Westin Hotel. The water was PERFECT and I was able to FLOAT EFFORTLESSLY for the first time in my life. I later discovered the salt content is very high in the Caymans, which led to my enhanced buoyancy. There was not much to eat on the beach with the exception of the hotel restaurants, so plan accordingly. Also. . . BE SURE TO PACK BUG SPRAY. The mosquitos in the Caymans are extremely active in the summer months, especially at dusk. It was almost unbearable. Call the clubhouse if you don’t see available tee times online, especially if you’re a single. Also offered a 9-hole option when calling, which wasn’t available online. There is a good variety of tees. Since we were in the afternoon, the play was very quick. The price is pretty high. The staff were unbelievably warm, friendly and helpful. They remembered my name from the first session and were really flexible about my passes. The space is light, airy and clean and all of the classes I attended (4 different teachers) were well taught and enjoyable. I'll definitely be back when I return. I had the lava shell massage, similar to a hot stone, which was super relaxing and my therapist, Donna, was lovely. This space really has such an amazing holistic vibe to it, and I bought a few beautiful crystal quart necklaces and suncatchers as gifts for friends back home. - Melissa DAlbany, NY12 contributionsI honestly can’t say enough good about Living the Dream Divers. From the first time I spoke with the owners Gary and his wife Liz, I knew this was the company for us. They were very well organized and efficient. Small base company that strives at making sure their guest feel special and pampered…… yes, pampered! They wouldn’t let us lift a single bag which made for a very enjoyable and relaxing 5 days. They even collected our shoes and then layed them out so all we had to do was slide our feet into them and stroll off the boat. For a mom, this little things means so much. Valet service is the way to go.. They made sure the boat was filled with a variety of snacks and ice cold water for every trip. One less thing I had to worry about. They only offer small groups which I find to be more intimate. We really got to know the crew. What we loved most when you book a package, they will keep your gear and have it set up for you each day. We were able to leave each day and head right to our next activity without having the hassle of cleaning and bringing our gear back to our condo. With hear being so expensive, we never like leaving it in our car no matter where we go. Last but definitely not least, the crew members are outstanding at what they do. The crew really made our trip a memorable one. We had many laughs and can’t wait to dive with them all again. A very big shout out to who we like to call our “A TEAM” Lauren, Stevie (Fabio). We had a blast!!! Warren, Alex and Matt….. thank you for everything, you guys rock
I would like to mention we tried our other companies on the island and this one was the perfect fit for our family. They leave right from their shop in George Town or Cayman Yacht Club. This tour is hands down the best experience for an outstanding price! It never gets old. - Tori L25 contributionsMy family loves this dive company! We have been diving with them for years and I actually received my diving certification from them in 2018. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, which makes them the perfect company for leisure diving and certifications. They provide five star service by getting all your equipment ready for you and helping you get it situated before jumping in the water. The dive guides are great about pointing out interesting sea life on dives and are constantly ensuring everyone is safe and happy underwater. I want to give a special shoutout to TJ, who was our capital and dive guide on several of our trips this year. He is hilarious, but he also helped me calm down when I panicked underwater, which I really appreciated. Alan, the manager, is also fantastic. He is very responsive and is helpful for planning your trip and answering any questions. They will also take you to and from the hotel. The boat is nice and they never book too many people so everyone has enough room and is able to dive in a smaller group.
