We stopped in here during a Cruise stop. Took a taxi from the pier. We had a very interesting tour and delicious rum tasting. Seven Fathoms rum was prominent on a recent Top Chef Canada finals in Cayman Islands.

The CIB tour was so much fun! We were fortunate to have the head brewer guide us, and she was fantastic. I learned so much! And the beer is of course delicious! More than enough samples to try. The staff are so friendly. We will be back on our next visit to the island!

Fantastic art space with historical permanent works and contemporary works. The current show was amazing. I really loved the cultural themes explored. I rode the bus, then took a scooter from the bus stop. It was a nightmare because the scooters are limited to zones. Ugh! After finally arriving, the intern at the front desk was super sweet and offered to call me a taxi back to my place whenever I was ready. It’s definitely worth getting there, but just take a taxi if you are not super close. It will save you time and money.

I stop here very often on my way back from work to thank and pray Sainte Thérèse of Lisieux. The statue of Ste Thérèse is beautiful and located in a quiet corner at the front of the church, a prime location as she deserves, and it is wonderfully peaceful to come and visit her, and pray.

All I wanted was a beach with a chair, the sea and no crowds. I found all of that at Coral Beach for $5 per person. It is not a traditional beach where you walk into the water from your chair. You have to walk down steps from a short sea wall. (See the picture.) The bathrooms were clean. The food was pretty good and had a vegetarian option for a family member. Food for 4 people, 3 beers and 2 sodas was $135. and they took our order and delivered our food right to our chairs. You could also rent cabanas too.
Taxi from the port was $5 per person each way.

Small Town. Small area but fairly clean. Several shops and lots of places to walk around and explore very little hassle. Easy to navigate

After having done something similar at a previous destination, my kids were excited to find this inflatable obstacle course during our vacation to Cayman Islands. I went myself with three young kids (ages 7-11). The 11 and 9 year old were able to pair up and go off on their own (with lifeguards watching) while I kept with the 7 year old’s pace. Everyone enjoyed. It was super exhausting, especially since I was constantly hoisting my daughter back on - one hour was definitely enough. But it’s been the highlight of our trip so far! Some helpful tips:
    - they provide life jackets
    - no water shoes allowed
    - You can bring along a phone in a watertight bag to take pictures and there’s a spot to store it in the middle of the course.
    - it’s a bit of a swim to get there
    - for a child that needs extra assistance, 1:1 parent:child ratio is absolutely necessary
    - look for a 10% coupon in one of those coupon books they give you at a resort or condo
    That’s all! Enjoy!

This was one of our ports of call on a Caribbean cruise, and I must say it is much neater and cleaner and generally nicer than most Caribbean ports. We enjoyed strolling around downtown George Town and checking out the landmarks and history, and at no time did we feel unsafe. We also took a boat tour out to Stingray City, which was lots of fun. We had a chance to play with the animal that my car was named after, and could even feed them pieces of squid (they suck it up out of your hand underwater like a Hoover). To be honest, we find many Caribbean ports poor and squalid, but not here, which makes sense because it is a major banking and finance hub.

We went to Seven Fathoms Distillery and had the best tour with Misko Hincak!!! He was very knowledgeable and helpful on suggestions for recommendations. There were several groups in the facility and he handled it very well. He seems to truly care for Grand Caymans community and people. I would definitely return to Seven Fathoms when we return and recommend this tour.

Be sure to have sneakers or enclosed heel shoes, no flip flops. Good to make reservations so that your whole group will be able to race, walk ups are welcome, so first come first served and some may need to wait their turn.

If walking about George Town, stop by Heroes Square. This would be of interest for anyone who is a history buff as there are several busts of Caymanian notables and a sculpture titled " Tradition" by Simon Morris in memory of those lost at sea.I could have spent more time there.but was in a hurry.

We caught this dive site on a really calm day. A little surge, but not bad. The visibility was outstanding and tons of "aquarium fish". Nice arches and swim throughs. Best dive of our trip!

Visitors can pass on this attraction. There is a cannon, a replica of a lookout and two interesting wall murals, not much of a "fort". A plaque tells an interesting story about how the fort was used during the Second World War. Don't need to spend more than five minutes here.
