This was one of our ports of call on a Caribbean cruise, and I must say it is much neater and cleaner and generally nicer than most Caribbean ports. We enjoyed strolling around downtown George Town and checking out the landmarks and history, and at no time did we feel unsafe. We also took a boat tour out to Stingray City, which was lots of fun. We had a chance to play with the animal that my car was named after, and could even feed them pieces of squid (they suck it up out of your hand underwater like a Hoover). To be honest, we find many Caribbean ports poor and squalid, but not here, which makes sense because it is a major banking and finance hub.
