It's hard to process reviews, because it depends on the author and their specific scenario. Here's mine:
I had booked for 11 people (including 2 young kids (5 yo & 2 yo) + an elder (80 yy).. we booked the swim in tour + dinner. My party elected to drive to the destination ourselves because we had cars and we didn't want to depend on the rounds of pick ups & drop offs.
The good: First, Kyle from Caribbean Breeze Adventures was extremely responsive & accommodating (via texts AND phone calls) - thank you, and I hope this continues with all CBA employees.. it's worth it, especially for tourists. Second, the actual swim in the Bio Bay was wonderful. Like others said, you can't see much from the boat.. you SHOULD go in the water to experience it. You can actually see it/experience it much better. When I waved my arms in the water, there was such a great sparkly glow around my arms.. I liken it to almost like being a Marvel hero with special powers.
The "meh": The restaurant was kinda shabby & the food was a bit salty with a lot of butter/garlic (we had all on the menu), but the meats seemed to be non processed, so that was nice. There were lots of bugs around sunset when we were waiting to board the boat (FYI April 20). The actual boat operators and admins seemed to be local folks (which is great), but a little lacking in strong communication skills (e.g. deep knowledge of the Bio, safety directions like life jackets, getting on the boat, getting in the water). Lastly, the price per ticket - maybe a lot of the $ goes to pick up/drop off??
Recommendations: Bring bug spray (THE SAFE/NATURAL KIND) that won't harm the Bio life. Be careful on getting in and out of the boat. DON'T BE AFRAID to ask questions or get help from OTHER TOURISTS.. My group had kids and elders, so we naturally over indexed on safety and fun... lastly GO IN THE WATER - you really connect more with the experience.. you only get about 15 - 20 minutes, so please try to enjoy and not think too much.
All in all: Still had a good time. if I could I would've said 3.5 out of 5... Better food/restaurant, and service would've helped my review. And again, this review does not include any experience with pick up/drop off.
