We sailed with Captain Luis and first mate, Fidel. The sailboat is in a good shape, and Luis and Fidel work well as a team. The ride was very smooth. Fidel told us many facts about what we could see on the coast line and among the many cays, regarding buildings/topography, flora, sea creatures. We sailed to one of the cays and dropped anchor; then went by motorized boat to a great dock surrounded by mangroves. Plenty of swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding followed. Luis and Fidel know all the good places to see colorful fish. My kids had a great time chasing iguanas; there are several hiking trails on this cay, and no one else was there. Unbeknownst to us, they did bring a meat/cheese tray and water; we thought no food/drink was provided so brought plenty of our own. You might want to confirm with them ahead to see what the plan is. You’ll need lots of sunblock, hats/glasses, and highly recommend long sleeve swim shirts, as there is so much to do in/on top of the water (although the dock does have shade). We did fine wearing flip flops on the boat. Don’t hesitate to book this trip, we are so glad we did and the drive from Fajardo was easy.
