Clean, warm-best beach I have ever been to. Husband went swimming several time a day and I was able to actually go in the water.

This is a lovely part of Jamaica that not everyone knows about. Most tourists stick to the usual places like Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril. In some ways that's good for those of us who do know about it as we know it will remain unspoilt for a little longer.

This area is home to the famous Jakes boutique hotel, a few other boutique hotels and many other types of accommodation. There is something for every budget.

There are places to eat like Jack Sprats and other local restaurants/cafes.

The community of Treasure Beach is committed to maintaining a safe, and relaxed atmosphere. This is part of the charm if I'm honest. It is suitable for couples, families and solo travellers.

Went for the ice cream and discovered so much more! The best patiies out of all the patties eaten in Jamaica! The rum @ raisin ice cream is delicious! Glad our tour guide was with us because it’s definitely a maze when moving from shop to shop.

When traveling to Jamaica, visit the West End Cliffs. It offers awesome rock jumping and snorkeling.

After two other cruise stops with excursions, we decides just to check out the port on our own. Very similar to other ports in the Caribbean - same jewelry stores and souvenir shops. Was new, nice and clean, but area surrounding the port shops seemed sketchy.

Our first stop in Kingston. Beautiful and peaceful park. Didn’t realize it was the gathering place for those who are into fitness. Was also able to sit out on our balcony at the Marriott and take in all the night activities.

Grounds were clean. Nice place for family. River was clean along with the bathroom facilities. The down side was the lack of parking

We passed through on our way to Kingston! Have never seen something like this before.

One doesn’t need to get out of ones way to see it

This was a great beach day on our Disney cruise. They had a pool, a spot for lunch, inflatables on the water and a nice beach.

Come here to experience a great balance of beautiful blue beach and a diverse on- the- beach market place that is ran by the locals, not the government. They value a mutual respect from their visitors and are very welcoming.
You can catch Rolando basket weaving a custom piece for you, bamboo carved bowls, cups, ashtrays, Jamaican flag sarongs, and then go enjoy some jerk chicken or conch soup from JD and Joy or grab a cold beer and some fresh fruit.
Grateful to feel the strong sense of community they have there. Cant wait to visit again!

The food was good, we had lobster and fried fish. We enjoyed it here , it was crowded when we went, had a lot of fun. If you like good food and friendly environment good place to be.

The title sums up what the hip strip is comprised of -- there are also a couple of hotels/resorts, but it's largely the area to go if you're a tourist and want Jamaica/Rastafari print souvenirs. Will say that Doctor's Cave beach is gorgeous and Margaritaville is nice to experience at least once, so those are things you could check out if you're killing time in the hip strip area and want to hit the water or just the beach (in which case Doctor's Cave is your go-to).
