Great course! I have played almost every British Open venue including St Andrews Old, Portrush, Muirfield, Turnbury, Royal Troon, Carnoustie, as well as most top in the world including Pebble, Cabot and Bandon, Royal Melbourne, Kapalua, Princeville- this one is very good! Was debating whether to go to Teeth of the Dog but the price for outside golfers was exorbitant and drive from Punta Cana was longer than I wanted- the course arranged transport to and from our hotel and very organized. Our caddy Angel was fantastic! A good golfer (handicap 6) he routed us around the course skillfully and was fun and engaging- ask for Angel if you want a skillful ally on your bag. Wonderful experience!

We came here for lunch and pool. Initially there was an error as the server forgot to place our order, after an hour of wait, we asked another server where our food was and found out it was not never placed. The server and then the manager were both very nice and apologetic. Even though we told them there was no need for the food anymore and asked them for our transfer back to the Westin, they still prepared the food, and told us the food was ready asked us to enjoy it at no cost while our transfer is waiting for us.
    They absolutely made it right.

In addition to that, it is a gorgeous and relaxing property, the live music is lovely.

Well-designed course that offered a challenge but was very fair for our family group (ages 12-40/50-77) with mid-high teens handicaps. Was in excellent condition, had great practice/warmup facilities and rental clubs were in good condition. Not crowded this time of year and would rate cost as very reasonable compared with others in area. Would definitely recommend.

Great course. Ceilieo was an awesome caddy! My husband played the Teeth of the Dog and had a great time. He said Ceilieo made whole the day.

The views were amazing! I don’t know much about golf courses, but it seemed to be a pretty good golf course! You get a sandwich after hole 9 and they give you a cooler with waters!

Staff nice and informative, greens nice, weather amazing, clam and peaceful, scenery beautiful.

Carts stocked with cooler with water and ice. They could have been more modern but decent.

Pace of play was pretty good, was teamed up with another husband/wife couple. After you leave the golf shop, they point you in the direction of the cart barn, where you lug your clubs with nobody there to assist you. After getting a cart, the guy points to the direction of the 1st tee/starter which you drive to and find nobody there. The course has a pretty decent layout with several challenging holes, a few like #17 at Sawgrass. the greens were not too tricked out and not particularly fast. Not much break either until it gets close to the cup. Reasonably priced for a resort course with nice bathrooms onsite and a friendly beverage girl.

My husband and I, along with our 23 year old son, spent the day at the Corales Golf Club. Our caddie, Mureno, was fantastic. He’s been a caddy at this club for 44 years. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. He spent extra time with our son, giving him some very helpful pointers. He was funny and easy to talk to and he made our day more memorable. Every single hole on the course is absolutely beautiful. It is well taken care of.

The woman at the bar outside must have been having a bad day, because she was absolutely NOT friendly. But the hamburgers we got for lunch were really good. They tasted flame broiled.

Overall, we had a great time and we would highly recommend this course.

Nice resort course. Not in bad shape for February. Greens could use a little
more care. Rates are pricey but there is no choice as it's the only course around.
You have to pay a caddie fee after checking in and paying at the pro shop.
Once you are done you are expected to tip the caddie also usually around $20US. Rental clubs were decent but take your own if your going to play more than one round and a 3 pack of rounds save you a few dollars. Umberto the Caddie I had was really good and trust them on distance and putting. Holes play longer into ocean wind and he was spot on with yardage factoring this. Clubhouse is nice. There are some really nice holes on the course. Not the most challenging but as I said good resort course. Finished 18 holes in just over 2 hours at twilight. Gran Ventana gives you 20% off green fee but does not apply to twilight.

I wrote to the golf club and got a response that it is a private facility with only members and guests staying at Amanera having access. So I couldn't play which is sad since the course seems very nice and the closest one (10 min car ride) from my hotel. The other nearest course is 1h in a car.

I did not expect the elevation variations of this course, especially on the Marina 9 holes. I was pleasant surprised and may even say the Marina/Chavon 18 is just as good or better than Teeth of the Dog.

Great looking course and i was normally the only one on the course, the tee's are terrible and the grass is a bit long meaning no carry but it is a nice course.

The Par 3 Island hole is great

The greens are pretty good albeit a little slow, and the fringe needs to be shorter

    Staff are good and helpful

Just came back from DR. I stayed at Casa de Campo and during this time it was very quite. Still no break on the cost of golf. I rented a car so I gave La Estancia a try. Whaa surprise!!!! Compared to the Links at Casa, $160 this is a steal. $80 with cart and waters. That's what a NYC public course charges without the waters.
The course is immaculate and the people were great. The caddie I used, Romon, was at Casa but couldn't get any work, too many caddies. He was great.
I met some guys from Cleveland and spoke to them and we went as 2 4balls and they couldn't believe how nice it was.
I played 3 rounds there and all were under 4 hrs. One day played on my own and finished in 2hrs 15 mins and that was playing 2 balls into the greens.
I would HIGHLY recommend you play this course if you are in the ares.
Also the bar was open and serving food. I just had a few beers but they were ice cold and reasonably priced.

We had a great time. The course apparently has been recently remodeled. It was awesome--lakes, waterfalls, long greens, accommodating people. We went for their breakfast in the lodge--it was great and a bargain. There is lodging located on the grounds. We stayed at Casa del Lago, a small condo community a short walk from the clubhouse. An all around great time. It only rained one afternoon.
