Only disappointment was the cave visit, was very busy and the cave was OK and nice to swim in. Not as good as the one we went to 7 years ago with another company. - Chloe TIpswich, UK19 contributionsReally fun day at Scape Park, we booked through TUI and had a great time. We booked onto the buggies which were fun however you sit around at the start for ages before they get you in the buggies - probably just worth doing a buggy tour elsewhere if that’s what you’re coming to scape park for! The zip lines were great - be careful with TUI selling you this trip if you are tall (there was a man next to us in a queue who couldn’t go on any of the zip lines or other activities as he was too tall!). Bring your own water shoes and waterproof phone holder as they are expensive at the shop and the shoes are really uncomfortable and there is loads of walking involved. Overall a good day out and would recommend when visiting the Dominican Republic!
Ps. All the way from the lady who walked us to the bus through the photographer, waterfall guides and lifeguards. Wonderful experience. The photos were well worth the extra expense. Jorge provided the snorkeling tour Anna mixed great drinks and dancing and Frankie kept the party going! Very easy boarding from shore or snorkeling. Good music and atmosphere. A wonderful experience and highly recommended. A great day enjoying the delights, and hospitality of the wonderful Dominican people and nature. So many beautiful memories made. - bpb053027 contributionsThis is the exact same tour you'll see on Get Your Guide except it's $30 cheaper there so don't book through here. There were people on my tour that had booked through Get Your Guide.
There wasn't much information provided for this tour before I booked. After the boat ride to Samana, you're loaded into safari vehicles and transported to the stables. Each horse/mule comes with a guide, they walk with horses to the waterfall. You are expected to tip these guides and I was told it was not included in my tour and the guide was very pushy about tipping.
You do have the option to walk instead of riding down but the path is full of dung. I felt bad for the horses. There is a point where the guides hold horses by the tail to keep them from going too fast.
