We had been able to contact the theatre through Facebook before we travelled to Cuba, so knew that there was a contemporary dance event scheduled while we were there.. It was easy enough to buy tickets on the afternoon of the performance (starting at 5pm by the way); a good seat cost 30 CUCs, so pretty good value. The theatre itself is spectacular, and the show was excellent – definitely worth seeing what’s on.
I think there are guided tours, but have no information about these. We also sat in tha cafe/bar in the arcaded forefront of the the theatre and there was an excellent band, with mostly female musicians (for a change!), playing while we were there.

Lovely evening, of colourful entertainment, a meal and two drinks included in the price. Show starts at 10pm til 2pm, which is perhaps a little too long.

On the day we were there (Friday), it was not open to visitors. Very fine building on the outside. They have regular shows.

Allegedly the best of Cuban dancers are in this show and I would not doubt that. I have gone several times over many decades and is still impresses me. Pricy by Cuban prices but in line with what you would pay here for a show of that quality.

Casa de la musica is actually a large staircase by the main square in Trinidad. WiFi as long as you have your own card, and good drinks. Just make sure you order two at a time as service is a bit slow! Good ambiance, be prepared to tip for the musicians.

Nice historic and well maintained theatre. Similar to but bigger than the one in Santa Clara. Main difference is this one retains the original wooden stall seats and has a bigger stage. However, I preferred the one at Santa Clara that is only 1 CUC to enter compared to the 5 CUC charged here.

This beautiful curved building is located on the corner of Avenida Paseo. It has very beautiful interior decoration. I managed to meet two of theatre keepers. Also outside of the theatre, you always see lots of beautiful and sexy American vintage cars with their owners who are happy to take you around. If you do not have enough money in your pocket, then for sure you could hire one of these little Rickshaw to go around.

Its a pretty average place, but location is key for me and from there is very easy to move around and its already very centric area. Room smelled somewhat humid but they were very fast responders and eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It has a separate but in the same building restaurant downstairs with great staff called Gusto Ristorante

This review is a bit dated but I'm sure that a couple of years hasn't changed anything. Carlos Varela is about as big as you're going to get, as far as a Cuban musician goes and Chambao isn't known international that much (I know her) but she's pretty big in her home country Spain. The fact is that tickets to see a concert of this quality cost me the tourist price of $5cuc...Cubans were paying 5 Cuban Pesos per ticket. The venue isn't very big, movie theater size, so all seats were pretty good. I was about 20-25 rows from the stage. You can see the pictures turned out pretty good. I would recommend going to this venue if you see anything interesting playing here, it's perfectly safe, you're in a good area.

Fantastic range of classical concerts held at this refurbished concert hall.

Well worth a visit - the quality of musicians is high.

We went to a range of concerts held during the biennial international choir festival.
Prices are ridiculously low compared to concerts in Europe.
To find out what's on go to the side door which is on Aguilera street.

The sheer talent of the Cuban people never ceases to amaze me. I am not that much of an opera fan; however, this redefines my appreciation and takes it to a higher level. A must do in Havana.

The music, the food the energy of cubans is amazing. No begging and they are so much fun. Always smiling and wanting to help with nothing in return.
    It was awesome.

My husband and I visited Argos Teatro to see the play 10 Millones. The acting was absolutely phenomenal. My husband doesn't speak Spanish, but he could still see and feel the emotion. The play also taught us a lot about Cuban history. The acting scene in Cuba is clearly rich in talent.
