I thought this was the cacao museum, so I was somewhat disappointing to begin with, that they only had photos to tell how they make chocolate. And all the text is in Spanish. But it is not the cacao museum, more like a café with chocolate in the prime light. I had warm chocolate with coco liquor. It was very rich and creamy. Recommendable. They also have all the other usual stuff in the bar like beer, malta, coffee and off coarse rom. And really good service. But why is it they do not have any text in English. Baracoa have a lot of tourist, most of them do not speak Spanish. So therefore only 3.

It’s a market used by locals to secure meat and produce.

It’s not very large compared to those I have visited in other countries.

Limited selection and prices while reasonable seem fixed.

Meat is very unsanitary and no refrigeration.

A visit is ZoK for say 15-20 minutes but nothing for a tourist to buy.

I was delighted to visit this farmers market because it gave a real insight into everyday lives of Cuban families. There was mostly fresh local produce for sale set out in purpose built shacks and stalls. It was very spacious with plenty of room to move. Lots of produce but not a great variety of different foods. I got a lovely palm leaf market basket for 3CUC's which I fortunate enough to be allowed to bring home after an ag and fish inspection. It's my favourite Cuban souvenir and helps me in the supermarket in my bid to stay plastic bag free. Actually one of the things I liked best about Cuba was that it reminded me a bit of my 1960's New Zealand childhood, when we too had a dearth of unnecessary consmables - I mean as a nation, before trade was de regulated. There's something to be said for a bit of isolation.

Booked this tour at the last minute before our flight to Havana after looking at it for a good few weeks - and I’m so glad I did!! Yaz was a brilliant tour guide and was so accommodating for anything we wanted to see and questions we had during the trip. Definitely recommend for the start of your holiday to find your bearings, and the best food spots in town!

I would definitely recommend this tour as everything felt really organised. Tour guides were very friendly and I have visited a lot of places in Vinales (tobacco farm, horse riding through valleys, caves and the Mural). Definitely value for money. Thanks Ray and guides👍👍

We did the day trip to Vinales and a three day private tour to Zapata swamp, Cienfuegos and Trinidad, and could not have been more happy with our selection. Our guide spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable nad flexible, our Itinenary was both planned and executed well and the accomodation and included and recommended restaurants were excellent. In short: perfect!

Big thanks to YeYe, Bethan and the whole team for making our trip to Cuba unforgettable! Highly recommended!

CHACO Travel helped my class learn more about Cuba through an immersive experience. Our study abroad trip in Jan 2020, helped me understand the culture and so much more. This experience will always be one of the best highlights college has given me. Reading about Cuba and studying in textbooks is one thing but traveling with CHACO gave me hands on experience for life. The people, families, and community members we met were so nice, the food AMAZING--this was all thanks to Casey, Grant, and Yanni at CHACO.

It was a pleasure using this taxi service during our 2 weeks' stay in Cuba. The service is dependable and the drivers are friendly. It was also great that we were able to pay for our trips via PayPal before arriving in Cuba. I would definitely recommend this service. Thumbs up to the Tourfixer Team!

We visited Trinidad with two small children (4 and 6). We used Cuba Travel Network to plan our trip including day-trips to the surrounding countryside. We had an amazing trip and the agents from CTN were super helpful and professional as well as very knowledgeable about the area!

These are the times that I wish I had the gift of eloquence. We had such a great trip to Cuba, such a transformative trip, that I wish I could describe what Francys and Anabelle (sp) and the staff at Beyond Roots gave to us. Their warmth, and wealth of information made this 5 hour experience go by in seemingly no time. If you want an authentic cultural experience learning about Afro Cuban cultural ( and Cuba as a whole) take this tour. This is one of a few reviews I’ve ever wrote in my life! Hope this helps. Thanks again.

On a recent trip to Holquin/Santiago, I used Bayamo Travel Agent for taxi service and booking of accommodations. Every service, Anley Rosales Benitez, CEO of Bayamo Travel Agent provided was perfect but more importantly, he was able to track me down so my travel agent in Canada could book me the last flight out of Holquin. I missed one week of my itinerary but I was able to get home safely. Now, that is what you call service.

For a one of a kind safe, personalized, private tour option for those wanting to visit Cuba and experience it like a local, you will not find a better Tour Guide than Dayami !!! She seamlessly arranged for our group of 8 friends traveling (6 adults 2 kids) for first time to Havana, Cuba via Norweigian Sky cruise ship to have a spectacular time on our 2 days at port. She kept in contact with us via email and was responsive with regard to all questions we had before arriving. Her customer service is GREAT!

From the exciting and beautiful tour of new and old Havana via Classic Car by day soaking up the sun and colorful flavor of the people and it’s history; to our equally exciting Buena Vista Social Club dinner and a show tour at night to endulge in the history of music that is Cuba; our group had such a wonderful time that we already started planning the next visit while on the cruise and vowed to use Dayami and Have Kiddos Will Travel again on our Jan 2019 trip back to Havana Cuba.

The people to people interaction was the best with Dayami’s lively and interactive personality as she added “seasoning” to make a perfect Cuban Trip just right- Safe Fun Entertaining and Educational. Her knowledge and super personable personality compete for excellence in making her guests to her City feel welcomed and like they are home. !Su casa es mi casa! Thank you Dayami. dayainte@gmail.com We will keep in touch... and so can you. Plan your next tour with her. dayainte@gmail.com
