We didn’t stay in San Juan however I wish we had stayed there. The Old town of San Juan was great! We walked the perimeter walk around the fort and it was very memorable. A must do!!
Then we continued into the Old Town and had lunch at Barrachina. The best paella we’ve eaten and it lays claim to creating the Original Pina Colada. You get to see the beautiful colored buildings as you walk through the town.

Absolutely beautiful beach. You have to get there super early in the morning to claim a palapa, however there are plenty of shady areas under the trees a little further back from the water line.

This beach is stunning, I much preferred Bavaro beach to Macao beach.
We stayed at the grand Bavaro Princess, platinum club and the Bavaro private beach here was stunning

We booked TUI Supreme and coach picked us up from hotel on time and picked up guide at meeting point. Goes by the name of Roberto and he was great fun and informative about the local community. We boarded a large Catamaran with drinks and snacks provided. Stopped to snorkel with fish halfway then sailed onto Saona island part of the national park. Beach is beautiful white sands with palm trees -paradise!
Had barbecue lunch and drinks provided and stayed for 3 hours. A couple proposed whilst on beach!

Visitors center is very well done and worth the visit. Great for families to learn about and understand more about the rain forest. Still recovering from hurricane damage and ongoing repairs but lots of sites and hikes available to have a great experience.

Grace Bay is stunning! One of the most beautiful beaches Ive seen so far. If you are not staying at a beachfront resort and need to rent beach chairs and umbrellas beware of the only vendor that rents out over by the Seven Star Resort. The owner is absolutely insane so our beach experience turned out to be bad! Tropical Shades is the vendor. Please read all the reviews for confirmation.

Visited here on boys trip to Jamaica. I have always wanted to do cliff jumping and I am glad this was the first place I got to experience it. They give you all the safety equipment. You don’t need to know how to swim. Just be comfortable going in waste and able to swim using the life vests once you jump. The guides were amazing. We did 3-4 jumps and a monkey drop at the end. They allowed us to do some jumps multiple times. It was great fun and very safe. Would recommend this if you want to do this activity. They also had a photographer who takes photographs. You can choose whether to buy or not at the end after seeing the photos. Do bargain a little on the price of the photos if you wish to get it. We tipped the guides at the end. Best thing would be to leave your belongings in your car but if you end up carrying something they have lockers which can be rented for 5$. Entrance was 25$ per person.

Old Havana is a visual feast … the old vintage cars blend with the old colonial buildings. Some are restored beautifully but many are in need of repairs … buildings and cars. Don’t be shocked by the peeling paint, mould and rubble … it just adds to the character and resilience of the place. There are challenges in the city and finding western style food grocery shops is not easy … they look like little “hole in the wall” outlets, with limited stock and variety. It seemed like lots of fresh food is bought from carts … Shortages of items is common, especially away from the tourist streets. There are loads of places to eat, but prices vary … check menus before committing. Cocktails however are cheap by western standard … $2 US mojito, Cuba libra, etc! Cuba is raw and has signs of decades long sanctions, but the history and culture is undeniably strong. Lots of monuments worth checking and be prepared for museum closures. The electricity and funding shortages means some places may be unavailable. Money is also something to be mindful of … most places accept Cuban pesos and US Dollars … check exchange rate in restaurants before ordering. Bank rates are the lowest but restaurants often give good rates. Many will approach you in the street to change money … be wary of these. Seek help from your accommodation hosts they will be able to help with exchanging currency.

Cayman Crystal Caves was an amazing tour. Devin was our guide and did an excellent job telling our group about the history of each cave we explored. The tour is very much about the caves and not just a schtick to get you to buy a t-shirt. It is a legit educational and informative tour of nature (but they do have a few souvenirs if you want something tangible to memorialize the experience). I would definitely put this on the “don’t miss” list.

This is an absolute must see but Be CAREFUL! Do not get caught up in guided tours around Culebra and snorkeling schemes. Get yourself a ferry ticket in advance, take a taxi in Culebra off the ferry and enjoy your beautiful day at Flamenco Beach with rental/own snorkeling equipment! Maybe a private deep water trip may be better but nothing shallow will get you anything Flamenco won’t give you. Cheers!

This was a fun experience. We did not touch the stingrays, but let them swim around us. The water was so clear and pretty. Very refreshing to swim in as well.
