    Beautiful national park
    Visited family in Kvilda and rented electric scooters from a nearby pension. There is so much to see in the park. I am glad we got to experience it with a local as there is a lot to do and see and a lot of history to experience.

    Good chance to see deer and lynx
    Almost impossible to see lynx in the wild and deer are often hard to spot so it was good to get the chance to see them

    Worth the visit!
    Jezerní Slať is located between Kvilda and Horská Kvilda, and is a great little stop for cyclists, drivers and cross-country skiiers. There is a small lookout over the lake, and an information panel with interesting facts about the place. As mentioned in the other reviews, this is an interesting place to visit no matter the weather.

    Appeared in the movie Kral Sumavy
    We were tracing the history of the boarder smugglers Kral Sumavy and learned, that this church was in the famous 1959 Czech movie Kral Sumavy. Was able to peak in through an open window. The graveyard in the back of the church has been leveled out and some non descript headstones are lined up against the back wall.

    Ideal skiing for families with small children. Ideal for learning skiing.
    I visited SKI KVILDA in February 2017 and spend couple of hours there. You can expect just smaller ski-lifts POMA and not so heavy slope for skiing. I can recommend for families with small children and beginners. Additionaly, this area is very famous for skiing on tracks so you can combine your trip. Coming back to downhill course and the lifts, the staff is really friendly and nice. Price for skiing is low, but refreshment (hot dogs etc.. ) little bit higher. Some of the restaurants in the neighbourhood - if you consider to take lunch - are closed just for their guests.
