Museum in the Park Stroud

The main museum is mostly of local interest and of a quality above most free museums.
Set within a large historic estate and gardens, this Museum always has fabulous exhibitions, activities for kids and families, and now a superb walled garden and visitors centre.

It's just icing on the cake that the Museum is beside the amazing Berkeley castle and a gorgeous church and churchyard all bursting with beauty and history.
It’s a very beautiful house, set in lovely gardens, and the museum display is fascinating - if you have time and mental energy you can learn the basics of modern immunology in displays upstairs.
Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum Gloucester 8.8 mi away

One of the best war museums I have been to, it's a must for all young and old.
Very good value if you get the £10 ticket for other Gloucester museums.
National Waterways Museum Gloucester Gloucester 8.6 mi away

I think best visited with the Gloucester Museums Pass, which has a 12 month expiry, and then rolled into the other museums in town.
I really do recommend this lovely museum for a family visit...the staff are all so helpful, so enthusiastic and take such pride in the place, it is most refreshing.
