First off, thanks to our passionate guide Kaitlyn for making this trip unforgettable. 7 days traveling the Grand Circle and she made sure to sneak in some really great memories and then some.
Now theres really no words to express how incredible and breathtaking these destinations are, most of them are unlike any other place on earth!
Zion and Bryce park are both unbelievable, even the drive between them is stunning. We had an unscheduled lunch break in Capital Reef, which I was very happy about because that meant we checked off every National Park in Utah! Arches has so many iconic photo opportunities and again we were surprised with a sunset hike to Utahs most famous Arch formation. Canyonlands, and Moab are both so interesting and you're given time to explore what you can. Monument Valley had yet another surprise for us because after an amazing day touring the Navajo region, we set up camp right along the ridge overlooking the iconic mitton buttes!
Climbing down into Antelope Canyon is a must, you'll never get another opportunity to see a slot canyon like that again. Last but not least, the surreal Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, I don't need to say more.
This was a very short notice solo trip for me, and I camped the whole way, so here's what I learned. You're going to have very little access to electricity outside the van, so pack an extra charger. Pack lightly on the bug repellent and don't worry about snakes or scorpions, I saw none. Listen to your guide and take their trail suggestions, they don't always hold your hand once you get into the park's, which is nice if you really want to dash toward a specific spot. And lastly, pack some snacks. Otherwise you'll only be eating what your guide can prepare from the coolers. O and get ready to share your favorite road trip music!!!
