Informative and funny tour through the cellars and a great lunch paired with very good wines. This combined with a chance to visit the kitchen and have some secrets explained made this a very nice visit.

Only reason for four stars is that this trip was booked via wijnreizen.it The visit to the kitchen was sold as a cooking workshop were we would be cooking ourselves (group of 8) with guidance of the chef. As we could only watch the chef cooking and listen to him explaining what he did, this was not what we expected.

Wine tasting in a warm atmosphere presented by family members. Amazing Barolo and Langhe Nebbiolo. Highly recommended.

And so the Italian hospitality continues... after the winery working to fit us into their schedule at short notice.....we were so late for our tasting and fully expected we would have to miss out. Not so, Francesca, the daughter of the wine maker, met us and promptly spent almost two hours with us providing the history of the winery and her family. And then proceeded to provide a tasting of all of their premium wines. What a lovely person and what exceptional wines at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend a visit to this winery.

Luca gave us a very complete experience. We’ve been to wine tastings before but never had a farmer who told us with so much passion and shared so much knowledge about his product. He took much time to guide us around and answer all of our questions. Luca had a very clear vision about the proces of making the wine, and that you can definitely taste in the delicious wines. I can only recommend to try them yourself, it’s a great experience!

The museum itself is located in a castle, offering a fanstatic view from the terrace, but the fact that the place where Barolo was born is not offering a welcome glass of Barolo is highly disappointing! The museum is quite modern, offering some digital presentations too.

Really knowledgable host/owner who taught us a lot and was lovely to see a young wine maker continue the family business. Lovely wines and lovely location.

A pleasant enough wine shop and when we were there there was a large group doing a wine tasting. But the best bit for us was the elegant little electric lift in the courtyard which takes you to the roof for some excellent views. Not to be missed when in Barolo.

We saw this whilst visiting the area and were intrigued. What a great place to visit! We tried (and bought) some wines. They have a unique offer - male and female bottles of wine which can be bought as pairs. Can’t wait to drink them. It was a quiet day in October, ourselves, another couple and a cyclist. The gentleman we spoke to was informative and helpful, overall a great visit, pity we didn’t have more time.

We visited this modern winery with is amazingly naturally-integrated architecture. The guide was very kind and informative and we enjoyed it very much. This big winery gives a good idea of how they work, what kind of wines they make, and they offer you a tasting in the bar after the visit.

This was such a fun activity - you actually paint with wine! No pressure, no rules, just fun. After a day of tasting wine, this was a nice way to spend an hour - laughing, painting and admiring Ryta's beautiful art. Highly recommend.

This is a small museum dedicated to the history of the corkscrew. It contains hundreds, possibly thousands of corkscrews throughout history. There are also quite a few novelty corkscrews. If you have a few minutes to spare, it is interesting, but it is not a must see while in the Barolo region.

It was nice to see but not really about the castle and its uses as most of it was given over to the history of wine which in Barolo should have its own exhibition location.

You will need a car, or a bus trip. Parking can be busy. Lovely views. Castle is on the hill looking down. There is a restaurant there as well which we did not try.
Certainly worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.
