Went here during a wonderful week's holiday in the area - this cairn (in truth, a very ancient burial ground) is a fascinating visit.
When we visited there was an exhibition of photos of the site by local schoolchildren which added to the enjoyment of this oldest megalithic burial chamber in Europe

It was great to walk around an experience the atmosphere of the Chateau, and an excellent guidebook is provided (in French and English)) that explains the history and features of the building.
We stayed locally and decided to visit CDT one morning, our boat left at CET 10.00h.

As for the practicalities, there really is very little there (cheapest morning ever) and there are good clean toilets at the school in the middle of the island.
Beautiful island, perfect for those who like to walk.

15 minutes boat trip from Roscoff - choice to walk island or rent a bike - a lovely way to spend a day - walk to the Lighthouse -amazing views from there - at the other end of the island the gardens are also worth...
A great place to visit, easy boat ride from Roscoff and we hired bikes to explore, it's a small island so biking round is easy and good fun.

There was hardly anyone else there when we visited which made for some peace and tranquility!! Plus we had amazing weather ️ Down below is a stoney beach with a picnic area where you can soak up the sun.
Allow at least half an hour from the town centre (if you get lost, you get very lost) stick to the route back to the ferry port, carry on past the Irish Ferries ferry port and turn left to walk under the railway b...
