    Small night market; more fairground than food
    It’s an ok night market if you’re not expecting something bigger.

    At least half the stalls are amusement - e.g. shooting balloons - and there isn’t a lot of variety in the food stalls. Plus not a lot of options for vegetarians.

    Review of: Siwei Market
    Vibrant place!
    One whole street that was closed to traffic and filled with stalls selling lots of mouth-watering snacks eg. fried sweet potato balls, takoyaki, beef steaks, beef cubes, fried chicken legs, etc.

    Lots of stalls with games and activities for the little ones too.

    Located at Siwei road, at one corner of Taitung town. Opens only on Sunday nights.

    Overall, we enjoyed the walk and snacks, the vibrancy in a seemingly quiet town.

    Review of: Carrefour - Taitung Store
    They have a restaurant, too!
    And down in the basement, where the Carrefour sells to all Taitung, there's a sushi restaurant, that's quite nice and supercheap.

    make me feel at home
    Introduced by my Taiwan housemate, I in turn introduced to 2 of my friends and my brother. They all love it. The staff are familiar with me and they never fail to make me feel at home. They’re very friendly and the food never fails!

    Review of: Chen's Mashu
    Chen’s Mochi
    Visited their shop at Datong road.
    Opens 9am-9pm.
    Tried different flavours - and our favourites are marlin, green tea with red beans and green beans.

    Tasty! We got them again at their stall in Taitung TRA station.

    The shop at Datong Road is easy to spot and is just opposite the famous Rong Shu Xia Mi Tai Mu rice noodles. Down the same road is Fan Shu Bo sweet potato chips.

    Review of: Fanshubuo Yang's Diguasu
    Awesome sweet potato chips
    There are few branches of Yang Potato Zenfa Original shops all over Taitung which only sells sweet potato chips. Even our hotel was selling them and it seemed to be popular with locals and tourists alike. After tasting, it’s obvious why they’re popular. The chips are glazed with sticky sugar making it a bit messy to eat.

    Although there is also eslite in Hong Kong, this eslite contains many good chinese books that worths a visit.

    Interesting Space
    It’s an art space made up of containers stacked on top of each other. There are some interesting art shops and cafes that you can check out while in the area. The WOW Cow cafe was closed on the day of my visit
