What travelers are saying
- AnitaNgaire1Wellington, New Zealand61 contributionsIt’s an ok night market if you’re not expecting something bigger.
At least half the stalls are amusement - e.g. shooting balloons - and there isn’t a lot of variety in the food stalls. Plus not a lot of options for vegetarians.Written December 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - miniacornsSingapore, Singapore232 contributionsOne whole street that was closed to traffic and filled with stalls selling lots of mouth-watering snacks eg. fried sweet potato balls, takoyaki, beef steaks, beef cubes, fried chicken legs, etc.
Lots of stalls with games and activities for the little ones too.
Located at Siwei road, at one corner of Taitung town. Opens only on Sunday nights.
Overall, we enjoyed the walk and snacks, the vibrancy in a seemingly quiet town.Written November 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - PVR2The Netherlands227 contributionsAnd down in the basement, where the Carrefour sells to all Taitung, there's a sushi restaurant, that's quite nice and supercheap.Written May 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Кing M14 contributionsIntroduced by my Taiwan housemate, I in turn introduced to 2 of my friends and my brother. They all love it. The staff are familiar with me and they never fail to make me feel at home. They’re very friendly and the food never fails!Written June 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- miniacornsSingapore, Singapore232 contributionsVisited their shop at Datong road.
Opens 9am-9pm.
Tried different flavours - and our favourites are marlin, green tea with red beans and green beans.
Tasty! We got them again at their stall in Taitung TRA station.
The shop at Datong Road is easy to spot and is just opposite the famous Rong Shu Xia Mi Tai Mu rice noodles. Down the same road is Fan Shu Bo sweet potato chips.Written November 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - thelonious22Seongnam4,373 contributionsThere are few branches of Yang Potato Zenfa Original shops all over Taitung which only sells sweet potato chips. Even our hotel was selling them and it seemed to be popular with locals and tourists alike. After tasting, it’s obvious why they’re popular. The chips are glazed with sticky sugar making it a bit messy to eat.Written January 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Karen NHong Kong, China107 contributionsAlthough there is also eslite in Hong Kong, this eslite contains many good chinese books that worths a visit.Written December 29, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- pp621209Taipei, Taiwan3 contributionsEvery country has classic sweets narrate the food culture and life style. In Asia, glutinous rice maltose began in the Shang dynasty with more than 3000 years history. It is the essential sugar resource primarily serving as food and medicine. Even now, glutinous rice maltose remains a very important chapter in Chinese tonic food culture for health purposes.
There are so many tooth-destroying selections of healthy sweet in Asia. Taiwan Sweet is a must-try for, originating in Taitung, which is a glutinous rice maltose-based beloved confection that binds nuts and grains.
Natural Tasty Co.’s product is a great choice for the best Taiwan Sweet experience, which use pine nuts, Taiwan red quinoa and sesame seed. Its nutty and lovely mild sweet flavors make for a tasty combination with the chewy-crisp balance. It is ideal for healthy sweet lovers with nature ingredients, free of artificial additives, low sugar, low salinity, rich fiber, great sources of vitamin, essential nutrients and qualified as Clean Label product.Written August 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ffchaserSingapore, Singapore151 contributionsIt’s an art space made up of containers stacked on top of each other. There are some interesting art shops and cafes that you can check out while in the area. The WOW Cow cafe was closed on the day of my visitWritten April 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
