Interesting museum with lots of Chinese antiquities - ceramics, bronzes, painting, jade, ivory etc. a few of the galleries closed but more than enough to see. Well labelled exhibits with English translations means audio guide isn’t needed unless you want to get into more depth. Total visit was c2.5hrs, probably needed another 30min to get round all of it but also good to focus on certain rooms.

My children loved to come here and I loved the dirt cheap prices.
Luckily we didn't get the "day pass" which grants unlimited entrance for 13 rides. My child didn't like any of those rides and there were long queues.
Now, the rides that are not included in the day pass have increased to TWD 80 per ride (previously TWD 20). Video games are now TWD 20 per game. Playroom is now bouncy castle TWD 150 per child (previously free).
Yup it's a new world post covid.

I went when it was foggy, there was condensation on our glasses and hair. Even with the very limited view, we could see some pastures and cows/buffaloes. A very easy and short walk unless you want to hike to lengshuikui hot springs which was a fee bus stops away. It was very accessible with S15 bus, just that the bus is small and it's difficult to secure a seat. The road up was very windy

We passed by in this garden due to the beatiful reviews we've read about it.
Unluckily, it was not the season of the blooming of flowes.
However, you can still sense the beauty of it and its landscape. Adding to that is the beautiful mountain in the background.
The residences around here are so lucky to enjoy this lovely garden.

Good place for kids above 5, we did the cosmic adventure which was probably made during the 1990s. My son enjoyed it but it made me extremely disoriented 😅 exhibits are quite interesting but dated. Good place overall

I brought my 9 years old son. Perfect age for this museum. Exhibits are mostly hands on. The displays are bilingual. We spent about 3 hours there. If you like, make it a fun day and just walk to the amusement park across the street. At the end of the day, go to the Shilin night market. All around the same area.

I have been coming to Taiwan for almost 10 years every chinese new year and I never knew about this hidden gem. It may be one of the funnest things I've done in Taiwan. Making the pineapple cakes was really fun and educational. The staff did a great job speaking English and teaching us how to do it. They also had a small museum where you could try on outfits from traditional china empires. There was alot of young children here which I was worried about at first. But they must have been a school group and the staff separated there tour from ours. If you have young kids. This may be one of the best experiences in taipei to do with them. And you even get to make the cakes put them in a box and bring them home as your own souvenir.

Since Taiwan became World Little League champions many years ago, Taiwan people have been crazy over baseball. A game at the Tienmu Baseball Stadium is like nothing else; the spectators cheer, sing and clap their heroes. Even little kids walk up to you and say "I'm a star pitcher, I'm going to play in the Major Leagues one day." The stadium is comfortable, with good facilities. The atmosphere is boisterous; it's an electric night out.

Last October I went to Shihlin Mansion with my classmates because our design topic is about plants
.We need to design the better view than before,so first,we should realize the whole Shihlin Mansion Itinerary during the moment,I deeply understood the place, and I felt its beautiful and Luxurious.it include various flowers and trees, each part have different style. To sum up,I recommend people to visit here and enjoy this place.

One hour rod rental passes very quickly. I just caught 2 but my daughter in law caught 5. There is a knack. Hooking the tiny shrimp bait is a testing skill. Then you need to find the spot where the shrimps congregate (near sheltered sides away from the light?). Most importantly, you need to know when to withdraw your rod from the water when you get a bite..You can BBQ your catch in nearby ovens or order them in nice dishes cooked by the farm' s chef. Fun to spend a few hundred NTD but much cheaper to buy fresh from the market. Can be frustrating if you catch zilch.
