Everything here is awesome. There are crystal clear waters, endless sandy beaches, and the sky with a panoramic view of the sunrise and sunset. Here is a paradise!
This is a famous popular destination in Taiwan. Nice beachfront to watch the sunset. Worth a visit when in the city. Be careful when walking towards the lighthouse and always be careful playing in water.
Not far from Old Street is Anping Sword-Lion Square. This is a delightful little shopping area away from the crowd and noise of Old Street. The shops here are orderly and offer a variety of interesting products for sale. We spent quite some time sampling fruit drinks and my friends deciding to purchase a number of bottles were able to barter down the price.Take out your camera for photos of the courtyard, assorted decoration and even of you sitting on a cement reproduction of the Chinese zodiac of your birth year.
My family visited right as a demonstration/rally was being held for aboriginal rights. As you'd expect, activity was at a high with a lot of people in traditional dress and a BBQ whole big turning on a spit. About a dozen street vendors as well for food and crafts.
Did a quick tour of the museum and watched some of the performances.
