    Review of: Mtunzini Beach
    At one with nature
    This is a wonderful stretch of beach that is wide, scenic and rather beautiful in its solitude. Swimming is not really recommended as it has no shark nets, but I quick dip in calm water would be good for strong swimmers. My guess is it would be a haven for lonely shore fishermen or for those preferring deep sea fishing. Access would be through the river mouth on the north side of the beach where there is a lagoon and estuary.
    Mtunzini beach is wonderful for long leisurely walks and is accessed from a parking area behind the shore dune. Ablutions are generally always well looked after but monkeys are abundant in the area, and often disturb what humans have attempted to keep clean.

    Review of: Umlalazi Nature Reserve
    Heaven on the banks of a river
    We had a wonderful two-night stay at Umlalazi and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chalets and reserve as a whole were clean, well maintained and a pleasure to visit. We took walks through the mangrove swamps, over the dunes to the beach and through the coastal dune forest towards the river mouth and it's all beautiful. My husband and sons spent a lot of time fishing while I spent a lot of time relaxing in the shade of trees on the river banks. The reserve is close to the centre of Mtunzini so it's easy to replenish supplies or stop at the coffee shop if you'd like to. Fishing licences can be obtained at Mtunzini post office.

    Review of: Mtunzini Country Club
    The place was festive!
    Was at the caravan park and went to the Club to watch the Springboks play rugby. What a festive atmosphere and all the staff were so accommodating. It was such fun we stayed for a meal and that proved to be a delight too.
    The views are also awesome and I would go again for festive atmosphere.
