#1 of 1 things to do in Lake Eacham
We drove from Cairns CBD, stopped by Lake Barrine and had morning tea / brunch at Tea House Restaurant (approx an hour drive), then to Crater Lakes (approx 10 mins).
There's a good walk around the entire lake and there are also good swimming and picnic facilities available.

We arrived at the historic teahouse in heavy rainfall, and were glad to be inside around the wood fire, eating the scrumpious scones with native plum jam and real cream, plus a pot of local "Ulysses" tea.
The cruise around the Lake with commentary given by Joy proved to be exceptional, most informative and a photographer’s delight.
