It is a lovely little castle with lots of fabulous nooks and crannies to explore and plenty of spiral staircases to ascend.
We are already English Heritage members but the pricing in the shop was brilliant - two cans of drink and two postcards for £2 and lollies for 20p, children’s craft activities for 80p - excellent.

This cathedral is smaller than others I have visited in fact more like a large parish church but it it charming and the architecture is exceptional well worth a visit - and free too !!
