Visited Yeo Valley Organic Garden with my daughter & daughter in law as a gift for mother’s day. We went for the Bee Safari. Fabulous experience - coffe & cake to begin with an very interesting talk on bees. We then had a walk around the gardens to find bees for a closer look & to explore the gardens. We were able to ask lots of questions about bees & the gardens. It was a lovely experience with friendly, helpful people. Would love to go back again.

Charterhouse is a fascinating place for a half days visit. Two thousand years of lead mining history waiting to be explored along with the sites of a Roman fort, amphitheatre and Roman town close by. A great place for kids to let off steam. A great shame that the Wardens' office in the old Charterhouse school building is no longer open - used to be able to get leaflets on the area (and on Mendip generally), together with all the information you could need from the Wardens themselves.

My 9 year old daughter and I had a fabulous 2 hour trek this week, we loved it. My daughter was a little nervous to begin with but our guide Anna was great with her and she soon forgot all nerves. She rode Lulu who looked after her all the way. I rode Blaze who was also lovely. We rode the most beautiful trek with some trotting and cantering. We both really enjoyed it would definitely recommend.
