Loved this beach more than kata and karon beach, makmly because I didn't see a single jellyfish on this beach or in the water.
We found this beach while hiring motorbikes and driving round, as such we entered the beach at the top near the motorbike parking and that was a lot of steep steps down to the beach, hopefully there is a less steep option further down the hill.
Water was wonderfully clear, no snorkel mask needed to see small fish. Nice white sand, a fair few sunbeds to chill on.

All the questions I had before coming out to Thailand, I have answered here, along with more about Beyond Karon Resort hotel.

The hotel couldn't be better situated, right on the beach with views from most rooms, not all I wouldn't say.
Breakfast was buffet style, we found something acceptable each morning, can't comment on lunch as we didn't eat at the hotel at lunchtime, however, dinner has to be the most unusual experience I have had in my years of visiting hotels abroad. You were presented with a laminated set menu each evening, and if you didn't like anything on that menu, you were offered a different menu, however, forfeited the starter and only had fruit or ice-cream for dessert, very random.
Rooms were acceptable, basic, with restricted drawers etc if you like to unpack, but had everything else you would expect. Rooms swept and made up daily, beach/pool towels supplied. If you want a bed round the pool you need to be out there at 6am as the hotel do nothing to police their policy of not putting towels on and leaving them. Not sure personally why one of the staff don't go round and remove them, people would soon cotton on.
Half board is not worth the extra money, there are numerous restaurants up and down the road behind the hotel, of varying price ranges. You definitely don't need a lot of clothes with you either, as loose fitting dresses and shorts were all that were needed.
The beach when we arrived was clean and on the whole, litter free, however it soon changed and people started leaving their rubbish behind, spoiling it for others. We had a few days of lots of jellyfish in the shallow water where people stood to cool off, would have been nice to see an information board somewhere giving a bit of advice on whether this was safe to be in there with them. The beds on the beach aren't free, they are 300 baht for 2 beds and an umbrella. Can't comment on the price of the activities on the beach as we didn't do any of them.
We did 2 trips, one to the Green Elephant Sanctuary, enjoyable and nice to see the elephants looking reasonably happy with their new lives having been rescued from riding or working environments, although it was upsettingtosee all the scars they bore from mistreatment, and one to James Bond Island, which again was an enjoyable trip, made more enjoyable by 'Sexy' and his crew.
The Thai people are friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.
TAKE PLENTY OF MOSQUITO BITE PREVENTATIVES, THEY WERE RELENTLESS IF YOU'RE THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT THEY LIKE !!!
Weather was beautiful, 33 degrees every day.

Popped down to this beach to watch the sun going down. At that time of the evening it wasn't busy on the beach which was nice. There were a selection of long tail boats in the sea which looked nice against the sunset.
The beach itself looked clean and nice sand to walk on. Look forward to returning during the day to experience the beach more.

Good viewpoint. Very crowded but plenty of space to take stunning pictures of the landscape. Don’t have to spend long here.

Great open air market, making it more bearable in the heat. Goods selection of items/souvenirs and food. Open Tuesday and Friday. Worth a visit. Don’t miss the donuts near the main entrance, they are delicious!

The cooking class was an awesome experience. It exceeded my expectations. Was so well organized from beginning until the very end including hosting all people, work stations, clean stove areas and communicating with all guests that attended.
I was lovely having other assistants for the personal attention together with the main host. All questions were answered and this class was very informative.
    Absolutely loved it!!!

We had visited this small temple dedicated to Lord Buddha during our sightseeing in Phuket. This temple is located close to Karon Beach and also known as Wat Karon. We liked the beautiful architecture of temple and the peaceful ambiance inside it. This place is worth a visit when you are visiting Karon Beach.

Great fun, great dinosaurs and mini crazy golf. Not cheap by Thai standards but we thought it worth the money. Best to go in the evening as it's cooler, there are fans around the course but it can be hot. Nice touch to give a refreshing towel at the end.
Bars etc attached but we walked back to town to refresh

We Had a fantastics time at Chel’s Thai cooking workshop. We shopped for ingredients in a local fresh food market, she explained and showed us all the spices, vegetables, fruits and seafood. We then cooked springrolls, shrimp soup Tom Yum Kung, pad thai and chicken green curry. All in an amazing setting of Jungle restaurant terrace overlooking jungle of course. Thoroughly recommend!

Lovely English speaking person greeted me, when established I’d like a pedicure they sat me in a massage chair while a lady washed my feet and I picked my gel colour.
Was there an hour and now have super soft, no dry skin and beautiful nails. Far superior to pedicures I’ve had at home. Highly recommend!
