Went there in September 2022. Kata Noi was a really nice beach. Not crowded at all during the time I was there. Definitely a lot more enjoyable than Kata and Karon beaches.

Kata Beach, Phuket’s composed of 2 lovely beaches called Kata Yai (Big kata) and Kata Noi (Small Kata) separated from each other by a small headland, Kata Beach is suitable for holiday makers who look for bright sun, white sound, a calm clear sea.

Kata is located only 7 KM from the Chalong Intersection in Phuket town. The way leading to the beach can overlook the elegant scene of Chalong Bay on the southern coast of the island. Various kinds of accommodations, restaurants, shops and aqua-sports facilities are available.

I had no idea a public park could look so nice. This park is beautiful. Perfect place for a romantic walk. Also good to take children for a walk

The Lake is surrounded by Wiset Road on 3 sides and beachfront along the other with Karon Park

The annual festival of Loy Krathong is celebrated here on 31st October/1st November. At this time everyone goes to the closest river or lake to send a floating offering, hoping for good luck in the year to come.

On opposing sides of the lake, are 2 boat shaped structures, with a view point and seating. These are know as Memorial Boats, not sure what, perhaps they are memorials for the Tsunami or used during Loy Krathong.

This is a very popular place with joggers and people just out having a stroll around enjoying the tranquility in the shade provided by the trees around the lake. It is also a good place to watch the amazing sunsets from.

Keep an eye out along the beach side of the lake for a small bronze statue. The statue represents a Thai manual worker, in traditional clothing.

We did enjoy walking around here, it take maybe 20 to 25 minutes, during our recent stay in Karon.

Karon Park is an area that runs by Karon Lake and along the back of Karon Beach.

There is a fitness theme throughout the Park with a number of fixed gym exercise machines sited within the Park. A running track surrounds the lake, which is popular with runners, joggers, dog walkers or people out for a stroll under the shade of lots of trees.

Visitors to the Beach take advantage of the shade provided by the trees and spread out their beach mats and towels, the sea is only a couple of feet away. Also it is not as crowded as the Beach.

We did walk around the lake and along the Park during our recent stay in Karon.

The Park is also an ideal spot to watch a spectacular sunset.
