Hnoo was an amazing friend, guide and an even better photographer for the day! I have so so many pictures and memories and Hnoo gave me so much insight on the culture. I even got to pray and give offerings to monks. Something I will never forget. While the convenience of a driver and a clean vehicle was appreciated, the lack of a true tour experience was disappointing. The service felt more like a taxi rather than an insightful journey through Phuket's history and culture. However, for those strictly seeking transportation with some flexibility, this could be a suitable option. Ideal to do when first in Kata Beach to get your bearings and also see some of the sights. It was great to jump into an air con van too especially as we’d just arrived from sunny England! Having a private guide was the way to go, and Adah provided a professional and extremely friendly day trip around beautiful Phuket. Adah was very knowledgeable and provided some great detail and insights, as well as answers to our many questions on Phuket throughout our journey. It made the tour that much better.
Our driver was excellent, the van was spacious, clean and comfortable and he always provided ice cold water and towels after each stop, much appreciated.
Thoroughly recommend this way to see some fantastic parts of Phuket, and its a great, effective and valuable way to do a tour. - AnnaManchester, UK10 contributionsThe guide James was super friendly and the pick up from the hotel was on time.
The walk up to the Buddha was difficult, very steep, but James took this into account and was very accommodating of me - the slow and unfit one in the group! We stopped many times and he talked about Thai plants and pointed interesting things out to us. It was very hot but we made it to the top and stopped at a lovely cafe for coconut or watermelon juice. At the Buddha, James was very knowledgeable of Buddhism and let us explore on our own. They also provided lots of water and cold wipes! We stopped off at the temple where he showed us how to make a blessing. We didn’t stay for the food - we had to get back to our sick son - but James arranged for us to be taken back to our hotel straight away. Nothing was too much trouble.
This was a great experience - really very hot, so be prepared. I am not very fit, I struggled a bit, but I would definitely recommend.
