... Salzburg over in Austria, and at the top, through the lovely newish, and rather posh restaurant you can view a lovely panorama of mountains, passes, lakes and if lucky a quick glimpse of the tiny mountain goats.
There is a very nice upscale restaurant in the building where the Predigtstuhlbahn ends (the top of the mountain end), also with great panoramic views, and delicious food.

We paused quite often despite the soft rain to marvel at some of the grave sites covered in beautiful flowers and artistic grave markers each telling a short story of individual laid to rest there.
The ground level here is scenic but spend the 2 euros and make your way up the catacombs -- simple but unique holy caves with a little platform that has great views.

The Choir and Organ Gallery (with fantastic views over the nave) and the Cathedral Museum can only be visited as part of the Dom Quarter ticket which is highly recommended (see separate review).
Make sure to go on the tour of the Residence as it will take you through museums either side of the cathedral and you walk beside the organ and have a unique view looking down on the nave.
