    Personable tour with amazing people!
    I live this company and it’s staff. They make the day a real adventure and take us to places that the normal tour busses don’t go. Nuno our driver and guide took great care of us, and made this day memorable. Hit the Road Madeira should be on your list. Book early, they are a ‘boutique travel company’ and they fill up quickly! Just one more thing, when you call ask for ‘Nuno for President’!

    Perfect way to explore Madeira
    I highly recommend Edgar and trips he organizes, it was perfect way to explore Madeira and discover most of its beauty, in 3 full days we could see all hot spots on the island including sunrise in the mountains, sunset on the west coast and off-road places we couldn’t have reached on our our with rented car, Edgar was a great guide, we learnt a lot about the island, he was also very flexible to change plan ad hoc when we wanted it, he also recommnended great restaurants for lunch, sunset dinner etc., all in all if you want to fully explore Madeira in very comfortable way, he is the one you should go for!

    "Raw nature" at its best
    Tour guide Charlotte and driver Nuno were a good team. We enjoyed the hike along the North Eastern coast of the island. There were almost no other tourist and we could experience "raw nature" at its best. The tour finished with a traditional drink called Poncho (fresh orange, honey, rum). Cheers!

    Climb every mountain...
    This was a lovely and easy-going trip around the island. The highlight was the view from the top of the mountain - a definite must for all coming to Madeira. Our guide was really nice and was a careful driver (not always the case!). A great day!

    Incredible experience, a must for those visiting Madeira
    Claudio was a truly incredible host, giving us an experience of Madeira we will never forget. He made sure to find us the best spot for sunrise despite the clouds and rain, was so informative on the history of the island and nature there as well. Couldn’t recommend this experience more - when we come back we will certainly book again.

    4x4 Tours discovering the North of Madeira
    I stayed in February for a week in Madeira. During this week the weather was unfortunately not so ideal. I booked two different tours with Green Devil Safari that offer different half days and full day tours. I booked the Enchanted Terraces as well as the Scents & Flavours tour. On both tours Nelson was our driver and guide. It was fun as he is a fun person that likes to joke and knows his island by heart. He is knowledgeable in the nature and landscape and likes to share his knowledge. The tour is definitely to recommend. Despite the weather, I spent two great days getting to know the island a bit. Thanks to Nelson.

    Really full accessible tour!
    The experience was fantastic! It was a full accessibel tour with my father in a manual wheelchair. My father could see all places we went to and enjoyed it very much. The equipment is great and is was all full accessible. There was also time for personal medical needs as toiletbreaks. Even when there is no toilet available, there was equipment accesible in the bus.

    The tourguide is a very friendly man who brought us to many locations that had a great view on the island. He also made sure we experienced a lot of local activities as tasting food, the preparation of Puncha (a local drink) and local farming.

    Thank you very much for the great experience!

    Great Day Out!
    This was an excellent trip, some off-road tracks as well which was fun, our driver was really good and tried not to use main roads so lots of small, steep windy roads. We had local experiences of Poncho, 2 stops for this, a small rum factory with tasters and a lunch stop. We paid for our own drinks and lunch. The driver we had was Gerhard, he was very knowledgeable about the island and vegetation and stopped and showed us many things, and stopped at view points, he was very relaxed about what time we got back and just wanted to show us a good time. I think he was disappointed that the off-road tracks were quite dry as we were very clean at the end, even though he found as many puddles as he could! Would definitely do this again with Green Devil!

    Fantastic tour with Jose!
    We LOVED this tour. It was probably the highlight of our two-week trip through mainland Portugal, Madeira and the Azores.

    Jose was a fantastic guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about all of the fruit, vegetables and plants in the area, and we learned so much from him during the trip. We especially loved that he would pull over to pick fresh herbs from the side of the road for us to smell - such a cool experience!

    The peaks were also INCREDIBLE. It was so cool to be able to see all of these different sights without a ton of hiking required.

    Great tours with amazing guides!
    We did three tours - East, West, and Central, with Antonio, Nuno, and Antonio. They were AMAZING! The guys were funny, chill, and super knowledgeable about history, culture, and the flora and fauna of the island. We had a wonderful time and would recommend your tours to everyone we know visiting Madeira. Carol also made booking the tours super easy so everything was simple to plan. Wishing you guys all the best in the future, thanks for making our trip fantastic!

    Excellent adventure tailored to our availability!
    Excellent adventure tailored to our availability! David (and Nico) worked to make sure we got a full day of hiking in, plus we took a very scenic semi rigid hull small boat tour around the point and the north side before come back to a beautiful marina well within the protections of the cove - future dream home type location! While this tour is designed for sunrise, our ship arrived after sunrise, so David took us on a different route. The views were stunning, his knowledge and passion for hiking (and running) showed through. He was willing to go as hard as we were, and was patient when we need to catch our breath. We will be back for another adventure, another time! Obrigado, David!

    Miguel is the best!
    I was the 85 year old on the trip with 5 family members , including an 11 year old, who said that the day with Miguel was one of the best days of our time in Madeira. I agree with him! Miguel gave us a tourist free experience and took us to beautiful and unique places. He took us off road to see sights we never would have seen with any other tour company. The open top Jeep allowed to stand and really experience the beauty all around us. He took our food orders and prearranged a special outdoor lunch for us at a small and charming restaurant. He took us to the beginning of a lovely and not too long levada, and met us with his touring jeep at the end. He took us to a charming old Santana house, where we could go inside, meet the owner, and tour the house. Miguel is charming and incredibly helpful with everything about Madeira. His website (Miguel is here) is very well done and gives you all the options of the various places to go on the island. I wouldn’t consider booking with anyone but him. He is definitely super special!!

    Amazing
    It was a great tour and day. We saw almost all the highlights of the island. Dinarte our guide was very friendly and has a very positive energy. You can see he loves the island and can tell you a lot about it. Highly recommended! We really enjoyed.
