- Dirk BWildberg, Germany44 contributionswonderful to walk this endless beach. We really enjoyed a long afternoon stroll there. Water is warm and shallowWritten June 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jim DRogers, AR241 contributionsTerrific experience. Enjoyed learning more about the elephants. Happy to support a sanctuary that treats them so well. Hoping we see more just like this pop up across the region.Written July 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- NurhakeemSingapore, Singapore18 contributionsVariety of shops, tailor, massage parlour, restaurants & pancake cart.
We bought handmade souvenirs & had a foot massage.
The only halal food option is from the pancake cart.Written June 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KayeLong Beach, CA33 contributionsTheir pool parties are so much fun! Totally worth the 1000 Baht / person for the day bed rental. Attractions are tons of fun, and the vibe/atmosphere is great!Written January 21, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AngloItalian78Aylesbury, UK318 contributionsI have to say we were very pleasantly surprised by this shopping centre. As many have commented, there is a good selection of mid tier brands on sale in both the department stores and the branded shops. There is a wide selection of places to eat both inside and outside including some little stands and some more formal dining places, albeit those tend to be a little overpriced for what they are.
The biggest revelation was the large food & wine supermarket which I would put on a par with the likes of Waitrose or Marks & Spencer in the UK, and they even stocked many European branded food products (albeit at inevitably inflated prices). The wine range was also outstanding, but like all wines in Thailand that are imported, very expensive indeed.
This is definitely a great place to spend a few hours on a rainy day as there's plenty of shops to pass the time in.
We managed to purchase some clothes here as well as some lovely food items. It's in a very handy, central location in Chaweng and definitely recommended for some time out from the beaches/hotels.Written June 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - BangkokSachseBangkok, Thailand39,458 contributionsWe drove our car to Big Buddha. The Big Buddha is huge. The views at the to to ocean are beautiful. We donated money to the temple. The temple was moderately maintained.Written June 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- OceanRoeCramlington, UK89 contributionsIt was VERY hot in the evening. They sell drinks - take advantage of this. You can go 'vip' or cheap seats - we were in the cheap ones as we wanted the full experience and it was fine. Its an insight into the culture .Written March 21, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BeersparkyVancouver, Canada12 contributionsA little off the beaten path this is definitely a market for the locals. There is a variety of vegetables and meat for sale and the usual sarongs and knock off items close by.
The food is authentic Thai- I usually try to find places like this to eat as you are supporting the locals and you will get a great meal for 1/3 to 1/2 the price you’d pay at your resort where the money is likely going to a foreign investor.Written January 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Jan E19 contributionsSame same but gone. We were looking for the market, but we could not find it. we think that it didn't take place in corona timeWritten June 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- carl0smarPhuket, Thailand110 contributionsA beautiful plain design of building. Little to distract from the centre of attention during a service. Service in Thai and English. A very warm welcome experienced.Written October 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mohon RDhaka City, Bangladesh3 contributionsNot the cleanliest beach of Ko Samui . However, you can take some good photos here, depending on the weather.Written March 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Karl Expert6 contributionsBy Melati hotel, a nice little strench of white sand beach. Family and majority of people will love it for its peaceful location and great Thai family runing a nice little resort.Written February 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lia Gsanta monica8 contributionsThe Koh Samui Meditation Center is a must visit place. Their evening guided meditation sessions are absolutely amazing. There is enough information to understand and be comfortable for a beginner and for someone who has been actively practicing mediation for a while.
Before visiting the center, I meditated only for 10 - 15 minutes a day and always felt an urge to finish my practice. However, after my 50 minute meditation @Koh Samui Center, I could not believe that the time flew by so quickly. I feel that the techniques that I have learned there will help me to improve my ability to focus and extend the practice time even more.Written February 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - silverandblackBangkok, Thailand31 contributionsWhile the immediate surroundings of the lake are beautiful (very European), the businesses around the lake itself -- go carts, bungee jumping, reggae bars, drinking bars have all seen better days. Lots of people jogging and the Warehouse is a great coffee stop while walking around the lake.Written December 29, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BANJAX64Canary Islands, Spain42 contributionsArranged VIP tickets through FB Messenger, free pickup from hotel included and payed on arrival at stadium. I was staying at Mai Samui Resort on West side of the island so was impressed that they sent a mini bus all that way. Mini bus was very clean and tidy with coloured lights inside, seat belts and good ac. We arrived 19:20 and were told to be back for 20:30 for the seating so had plenty of time to get a meal and drink in the nearby seafood court.
Inside the seating was comfortable with cushions for VIP and there is a full bar service also operating with waitresses to fetch your drink. Evening boxing was very good with 6 bouts of 5 rounds each if full distance, you could also place bets with the slips being provided at the door. We left at the end at 23:00 and there was a fleet of taxis outside to get everyone home.
A good night all in all.Written March 31, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
