What travelers are saying
- John TLondon, UK673 contributionsIt's 3 hours on the G train from Hongqiao to Yangdanshan Station. We stayed 2 nights and did all 5 major scenic areas plus an additional walk. The scenery is stunning with waterfalls and gorges and amazing rock formations. Nothing is very expensive although there are fees to enter each of the scenic areas. An overnight downpour made the waterfalls particularly impressive. Transport is easy to find, just 10RMB from the station to our guest house and local restaurants are cheap and delicious.Written August 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John TLondon, UK673 contributionsGreat place to visit and relatively few tourists so far, but lots of additional facilities are being built. Entrance fee is small.Written August 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- OzChinaPerth, Australia34 contributionsThis site and the other attractions in the area are part of the Mt Yandang UNESCO Global-geo park. We saw this waterfall and three others at their peak as there was a heavy downpour of rain the evening we arrived followed by showers the following two days. Dalong (big dragon) Waterfall is probably the most spectacular but all four are different and very beautiful. The paths to the falls are well maintained and clean but be prepared for many steps. There are clean toilets and numerous rest places along the way. Getting to and from is easy with the high speed trains stopping at Yandangshan Station and cheap buses and taxis available. Close to the major scenic area there are numerous hotels and B&B/guest houses. We stayed at Xian Yan hotel right near the Three Waterfalls entrance and caught the passing tourist buses to Dalong and the other sites. I highly recommend a visit to Yandang Mountain and Dalong Waterfall.Written June 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yan SBeijing, China49 contributionsI'd been there at the end of this year along for testing a hiking road, everywhere are evergreen, good for year round visiting. Hostel is like B&B but they don't serve breakfast as a lot of Chinese restaurant are available to serve breakfast nearby. No western food availabel as this mountain located in the very centre of Chinese hilly area.
Very easy to take G Train from Beijing,Shanghai,Hangzhou here, the arrival train station is also called Yandangshan, 20minutes by local bus or cab to Chaoyangdong Parking lot where the hostel located and easy to go by shuttle bus for visiting. 2day visiting is enough if you prepare will with it. No need to hire whole day bus or car service, shuttle bus are very easy to take(you may need an English guide as there only Chinese service available)Written December 20, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Entrance to the temple is free. Outside the entrance one there is a plethora of food and beverage vendors.
The temple is situated on a hill top, thus, one needs to climb stairs for approximately 30 minutes. At the top one can be greeted with a panoramic view of the city.
The park and temple is open during the evening also.Written May 20, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
