A beautiful shopping bag with a fabulous box of these chocolates was the most talked about gifts we brought back to the States.
After giving us a very complete explanation of the history of Mary's Chocolates and how Mary's artisanal chocolate differs from so many other chocolate shops in Brussels, we indulged in a few samples before making...

The shop staff working the day we visited was such welcomingly bubbly and cheerful, and we chatted much more than just over our order of chocolates.
There are so many chocolate shops in town but this one stands out with their staff, quality of the chocolates and the price.

In our case - we believe that if you really appreciate great chocolate - make this a definite stop on your shopping trip.

Designed and built by architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaer between 1846 and 1847 these are incredible shopping galleries that exude elegance and grandeur.
It is truly beautiful and is the perfect place to grab some expensive Belgian chocolates, have a bite to eat, check out the ultra chic boutiques or simply do some up market people watching and posh window shopping.

There are a lot of absolutely delicious sweets which you must try!!!! it's great that there are many shops around Grotemarkt and you can buy sweets in one of them :)
Brussels is full of sweets/chocolate shops but it was a treat to see that this shop is making their own unique items that are a truly delicious.

they label them by origin of the cocoa bean and the sales people are very knowledgeable. of the 3-4 chocolate shops we sampled in Brussels, this place was among the best and reasonably priced!
With a long layover ahead of us on our honeymoon, I reached out to half a dozen chocolate shops within walking distance of the Grand Place.

Stopped by on a business trip, there were lines for all the fries, waffles, and chocolate shops but noticed that Maison Dandoy was quiet but with a higher review count than many other surrounding places.
This small shop off the Grand Place is very unassuming but packs the best waffles in Brussels.

After visiting other shops like Meert, Marcolini, and Frederic Blondeel's (which are all very good), we both agreed that Chocopolis had the best chocolates during our trip to Belgium.
The lady who I spoke to spoke perfect English and was very helpful and the gentleman who manned the till popped in an extra choc for free so all round I would recommend this shop
