- akiregan20 contributionsPart of Shirakami Sanchi, this beech tree forest was relaxing. We went in late October and most of the leaves had changed to a golden yellow. It was a beautiful and easy walk....saw a 400-year-old beech tree and drank water straight from a natural spring.Written October 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rory RTokyo, Japan673 contributionsThis was a very nice hike, but you need a car and some time (about 1 hour!) to get to the trail head. It's about a 3 hr/5km round trip with the a fairly steep 800m-long (?) ascent/descent. We climbed it just before a typhoon went through, and we were glad of that, because the trail was already quite wet and unexpectedly humid. The view of other mountains from the top is quite beautiful, with the Mt. Iwaki visible in the distance.Written September 13, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- patrickperbkkPerth, Australia1,220 contributionsIt's one part of the Day Trip to Mt Fuji. Hakone is beautiful; Curing on Lake Ashi w lovely. Then, getting the cable car to the top of Mt Komogatake was very special as you can see Hakone, Lake Ashi and Mt Fuji view. The building on the top of Mt Komagatake made me feel like I was in one of the 007 movies.
The view on the top of the Mountain was breathtaking. It's beyond my expectation.Written April 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - akiregan20 contributionsLoved driving through this area and seeing the fall leaves. Definitely step out of the car to see the bright blue water at Dairakyo Valley.Written October 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
