It was a nice and sunny day only dimmed slightly by witnessing another tourist showing the utmost disrespect towards the place by sitting on one of the artworks strewn around the grounds. Shew annoyed me. Other than that it was rather a worthwhile visit. They sell food and drink there , including lavender coffee, which we tried and not disliked. The potatoes with butter did however win.
    I'd go again.
Well...we went in august 2018, but that's further away than tripadvisor allows to date.

I enjoyed the park a lot. It has great open views of Biei, an Observation deck, lavender fields, perfect for wedding shoots as it has a wedding bell and a nice hill for romantic photo shots. There’s a large parking lot with toilet facilities. Can stop for 30 minutes or so.

A famous camping site for the local during summer. You can see the scenery and also the lavender peaceful. Not much crowd.

While it’s a straight road with long stretches of ups and downs, there were 2 intersections and could be dangerous if the driver is speeding/not careful enough to spot any oncoming cars

We were at Farm Tomita Lavender East at the right time when the lavender was in full bloom. Smell of the lavender is so sweet and the rows and rows of lavender is so beautiful with backdrop of beautiful mountain. View from the look out point is superb. We even took the tractor to have a close view of the rows of lavenders.

Besides lavender you have to visit Farm tomita planted with other flowers and not to be miss is the rainbow slop. Such beautiful view.

Do plan your trip in mid july for the best view when lavender is at full bloom. However a gentle reminder that hotels around Furano are very very expensive due to peak season and good to book early.

We spend about 4 hours each at Farm Tomita Lavender East and Farm Tomita so it takes up almost one day for these farms.

    Good recommendation to visit

We visited in early October - so the fields of flowers were past their best with only part of the field still having flora, but the slope makes for a very impressive location to appreciate the plants and views

Need a good pair of walking shoes though to walk up the slope. Place is smaller than farm tomita and less crowded but you can take nice picture here with lavender.
Ice cream is average. There are 2-3 cafes and with small outdoor play for young children so it's a nice place to sit down and relax especially the hot weather in July.

Kanno Farm is a great Flower Farm located just beside the Road No. 237 in Kami-Furano town close to Biei and thus you cannot miss it. It has many different beautiful flowers, which you can enjoy after Lavender season until September. This is a must visit place until September!!

There are many similar flower fields around Furano and Biei. This one is the greatest one but still worth for visiting and photo-taking. It should also be a famous place for taking pre-wedding photo.

We weren't quite sure what to expect from the Gallery, but we ended up spending longer here than we had planned for, the art work is breath-taking / magnificent ! Well worth the entrance fee of 1,040 yen each,

was last here in june 2011 when the Tokachi mt range was shrouded in mists/clouds. This time round we were lucky to hv blue sky with some light clouds floating on the mt tops, after morning rain in Minami-Furano when we drove past. With some remaining snow patches on the mt, the views were as if on posters/postcards of Biei/Furano.

We aimed for this Michi-no-Eki to eat Ezoshika Deer, served here as a cutlet with vegetables like pumpkin, eggplant, and shishito covered in a slightly spicy curry. Delicious. The meat was soft, with little fat, and full flavor! Very filling. We drank with the Bear Bamboo Grass Tea from this area.
Notice the spoon holder in the picture.
Try this curry for a Flavor of Hokkaido.
As a Michi-no-Eki you can find foods, crafts, and other things from this area for sale. Everyone was friendly, and the restrooms clean.
