Initially we planned to visit Monkey Park, but due to heavy snowfall it was closed and the information centre in Nagano suggested Hakuba as a daytrip for us.
Hakuba 47 is my favorite park but there are lots to explore.

The kids park is a 500¥/pers for the whole day and on the other side of it, is a restaurant/ hotel where you can have hot sake and watch the kids play with sleds ,snow bikes, etc .. all furnished by the park.
Love this snow park!!

Fun riding, park crew do a good job with the snow they get, be careful as lessons happen all over the place and some runs are just mogul fields.
Awesome park for beginners and more advanced riders.

Love this place has everything you need in a ski resort good powder tree runs, big open groomers, has 3 parks, even a few gates to go backcountry frendly staff
There was some tree skiing and Hakuba47 (same ticket) had a good snowboard park.

If the weather is fine, hiking is really nice in Tsugaike Natural Park.

The Terrain park was nice and simple with varying sizes of jumps, boxes and rails for all levels.
... grand slalom type (we saw an old local boy in a really natty outfit schuss all the way down a black - reckon he took part in the 1st Japanese winter Olympics) - boarding park as well as red and green runs.

In hindsight I wish we'd come here on the second day because it is so ideal for beginners (although in saying that, tackling the steeper terrain at the other parks made us get better quicker).
