#1 of 2 Sights & Landmarks in Desborough
Easily spend a day here with a picnic, playing in the outdoor play area, piglet racing, pony rides, walking to the witch house, nature walks, etc. Very impressed, the kids loved it and will return again!
... and see there was a spooky tractor ride, pick your own pumpkin and carve it, make your own wand to use in the Witch’s house, spooky story telling, a spooky walk and even the maze was decorated for the occasion.

interesting and well informed by the volunteer guide.
The guide was informative but wasn't able to shed any light on who the people were - only conjecture.

The walled garden was still so very nice for this time of year, once again beautifully kept by what appeared to be a great many volunteer ladies.
It’s a beautiful Stately Home with lots of character, charming plaster decorations, chandeliers.

Attractive grounds, lovely docents, gift shop and delicious cakes and wonderful teas in the Tea Room made for an exceptionally fine afternoon.
We also discovered that we could climb the tower - very narrow and steep winding stairs - to get out onto the roof with its battlements and views over five counties (it's located at the back of the gift shop, and...
