The waterfall itself is worth a visit it was a quiet day when we went and sat at the riverside had our picnic and listened to and watched the birds and the sound of the waterfall was very soothing.
Well worth the effort to visit.

What a fantastic national trust property this really is , amazing house fascinating experiments and engineering firsts a must see , the visitors centre is also great with a lovely shop and cafe well worth a visit.
Amazing inside the house, iincluding the whole estate - from beautiful trees, lakes, streams to formal gardens, labyrinth and can imagine how fragrant and stunning it would be when the rhododendrons bloom.

Fab castle ruins, wonderful views of the old railway viaduct and surrounding wildernesses, a fascinating 11th-century church nearby... as I say, well worth the visit as long as you're feeling a little bit adventur...
The church is beautiful inside with lovely stained glass windows and local parishioners have made history books about the local area.

It's absolutely fascinating, ground floor and basement.The first manor house after the Dissolution incorporated the cloister walls, and the second wing was designed by John Dobson, so very worth having a good look.
