- Steve_Grant1Oldham, UK1,770 contributionsThis is a must do when you are in the area. We took the Number 3 bus from the train station which drops you off at the entrance to the dune. It is then a short walk to the shops, restaurants and toilets. Then a further short walk up a wooded lane to the base of the Dune. We used the steps that are installed in summer to get to the top. Great views and worth walking away from the main tourist area for a more peaceful visit. Tip, pick up a timetable at the train station to time your return journey.Written August 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lizzie49ColinSkibbereen, Ireland81 contributionsNice morning in the zoo. As the weather was cloudy and cooler we decided to go to the zoo. The park was quite nice with a large variety of animals. We spent a good 2 hours walking around. The animals are easy to see and we took lovely pictures of the snow leopard and tigers. The car park is large and the park is nicely located along the road. However compared to other animal parks we visited in the past the entrance is nearly as expensive as other parks which are much bigger. I am also not sure the animals especially white tigers have enough room in the enclosure. The animals are well looked after but I would rather see less animals and more space given to the animals there. I also only spotted one toilet area throughout the park which is not enough. Overall a nice morning when you want to keep the kids busyWritten July 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gamine1949Gujan-Mestras, France890 contributionsWarmer waters than in the Bassin d'Archon or in the ocean, this lake is very family friendly. Gentle slopes allow children to play in the water comfortably. A bit too busy in July and August.Written February 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Drake_xCxNewcastle upon Tyne, UK7 contributionsA really sad visit to Plage de la Salie-Nord, only 1 hour into our trip we were alerted to an internal car alarm. On return to our vehicle the window was smashed and some of our belongings had been stolen. I hope this review serves as a message that thieves are in the area, they don’t care about the hassle they create, they only care about obtaining other people’s possessions, regardless of the value.Written October 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - auntieshaz21Lanton, France663 contributionsI've never been to the races before and thoroughly enjoyed today. You don't need to bet to have fun, if you don't want. It's clean, spacious and fun looking at the horses parading around and cheering them over the winning line. Ample free parking with an entry fee of 2 euros for adults.Written July 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
