We loved this location. Finding it was easy once we gave up on our navigation app and followed the clearly marked road signs. The museums were so educational. It was very easy to navigate and understand even though we don’t speak Korean. Our small children enjoyed feeding the fish at the koi pond and running around the huge outdoor areas. We only paid for parking, fish food and ice cream at one of the snack bars. We spent a few hours there and still didn’t see everything.

Why unique? Because even though is a tourist attraction, locals, decedents of the original settlers, still live in those 500+ years structures. It was an experience seeing this traditional houses with Dish Satellites Antennas attached to their rooftops. Perfect contrast for centuries of technological evolution.

Originally built in 1706 and rebuilt in 1932 the shrine honors Admiral Yi and several generations of his family. This is a great outdoor area that offers over 5km of trails along with beautiful views and a gorgeous pond.

It truly is beautiful all year round; I visited in winter. The crisp air, small crowds, and quietness made this place even more special.

If you are pressed on time, skip the museum and head straight to the shrine and walk around the pond on your way back to the parking lot. (Approximately 30 min).

I recommend spending 1-1.5 hours to see everything. The museum shares history from 1700s about naval warfare and the infamous turtle ships. Videos begin at the top of each hour.

The parking lot is huge, and gives you an idea about how crowded this place gets in the spring/summer.

A small Temple with a huge statue of the Healing Buddha. The temple is located in a very beautiful garden with water pots and Lotus and golden fish. The Carvings and intricate decorations are very beautiful

This is a nice place to have a walk near the ocean and hear the waves as you walk around a beautiful arboretum

We went simply for the mystic sea road. We got there nice and early but the "magical" path didn't start appearing until mid or late afternoon and was s-l-o-w making its way up so that it could be walked.

If you are going to participate in this, we would suggest bringing good, sturdy, solid-bottom, slip-resistant shoes, such as the waterproof "crocs" they sell all over in Korea. Bring a flashlight, too, because by the time the road is walkable, the sun has set. If you or the little ones are going to collect crabs or other sea creatures, bring a small bucket. Lastly, the evenings can be cool during this time of year so a lightweight jacket is recommended.

We visited in September of 2018 but I am just now reviewing this!

Had a blast playing in the mud. I went on a Sunday which was perfect and not crowded the lines weren’t long. But I have a foot injury and most of the things they had were mud wrestling and I couldn’t participate, just wish they had more mud throwing, slides, and activities for the broken people like me. They also had a talent show at night which I did not enjoy at all maybe it’s because I’m not used to those kind of things where I’m from. But all together I enjoyed my time.

Amazing group of shrines and temples tucked away in peaceful mountains just outside of Cheonan. It is very peaceful despite being so close to the city.

This historic area was Baekje's fortress, and one of things to do in Gonju area. The fortress had good walk way and beautiful river view. We walked about 1 hours, and finished to see all. The view on the hills was good, and some buildings was in there. The remains of palace and temple was only ground shape and big gate was remains. There was good to enjoy view and walking.

It is famous for the Mud Festival, but it is a very good place where there are so many things to see and do! You can enjoy the green mountains and the sea at the same time, or enjoy the thrilling 'Zipline'. You can also enjoy many foods, so make sure to visit there!

The beach is very long. It'll take more than one hour to walk from end to end. There are two rocks: Grandma and Grandpa Rocks in the near sea. It is very beautiful to see the sun set between the two rocks.

Very nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life for a weekend or more. I stayed at a pension out of the way that allowed my dog to stay. An amazing place to relax and unwind.

It’s located about 500m from Buyeo bus terminal so you can walk and paid 1,800won for entry. The view from Nakhwaam rock is really good. I think if you want to walk around maybe take a time (2-3hour)

I think this place was very well organized for people need healing. There was consist of two area, one was trail, and the other was arboretum. That 2 area was all good. There had many pine tree, and we could breath with fresh air. The size was very good. If you visited Anmyeondo, must visit this place.

We have 5 kids (ages 2-14). We parked at a lower level, had our temperatures checked then started on a trail about half way up. That trail was beautiful. We made it about 1 mile in then turned around. We drove on up to the top and realized we should have done that to start with. Entrance fee by car was 9500 for 2 adults, 5 children and the facilities were lovely and peaceful. Easy to maintain distance to comply with Covid rules.
