The mine tour is brilliant and well worth it - you are provided with wellies and a hard hat, be warned it can be very wet in the mine, it's low in places and you're underground for about an hour.
The staff were very friendly and full of information and true stories of the wonderful characters who worked in the mine and were part of the history of the area as well.

Plenty of places to park some with charges some without, ample picnic areas, walk ways and access to the reservoir banks for anglers, also many seats strategically placed to take advantage of the views.
