What travelers are saying
- ChrissyMirraCanton of Basel, Switzerland360 contributionsWe actually expected to spend more time there but it's actually small. The seals were too cute and they had an amazing shark tank! Overall it was nice spending some time there but maybe not worth the trip there.Written December 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wstokes1965Sydney, Australia1,032 contributionsVery pleasant surprise - so glad I made the effort to find the museum - tucked in behind the Marriott Tokyo - the building (originally a house) has great design - the exhibition was a bit odd - but it was very quiet and worth the effortWritten October 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Climber7965435 contributionsVery large and historic shopping street, covered, and rebuilt after being destroyed many years ago. Full of interesting shops, inside and in the neighborhood. NOT touristy, but a glimpse of real Japanese life.Written March 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
The shrine is located on a small hill near Shinbamba station. If you take the Keikyu line and look out the window on the west side of the train, you will surely see it. It is not a particularly gorgeous shrine, and because it is surrounded by residential areas, there are not many worshippers except during the New Year's visit and festivals, and it is quiet.
The torii gate on the east side of the shrine has a magnificent dragon carving on it, giving it an imposing appearance. The stairs from the torii to the hall of worship are quite steep, so it is best to use the handrail to climb up and down if necessary. There is a Fujizuka on the shrine precincts, which was built in connection with the Fuji faith, but has now become one of the observatories from which you can view the city from the shrine precincts.Written July 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OldjackGreater Melbourne, Australia27,227 contributionsThis was a pretty shrine but not an easy on to find and stuck away from the main roads near the Shinagawa Bridge beside the river. It was old with some stone statues and plum trees that were starting to bloom. You can walk south from Sinagawa Station or it is quite close to the Keikyu Line and the Kitababa StationWritten February 7, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lorelle LKorumburra, Australia28 contributionsWalked the whole park whilst it was drizzling with rain and it was beautiful lots to see in the park, water features, statues, plants, lake, stages, wildlife. A very pleasant walk indeed. You can even ride a bike all the way around worth a visit and doesn't cost you a cent.Written September 2, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kidult KingdomHong Kong, China412 contributionsThe recommended visit time is from morning to noon. There is no specific selling theme in the flea market, and as long as you are willing to spend your time, you can find something worth buying. However, as a group of toy professional collectors participate in Tokyo City Flea Market regularly, so a lot of toys booth and new commercial inventory items are found there also.Written October 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - platypus150Melbourne, Australia26,944 contributionsI was out researching restaurants and found wide choice here in terms of price and cuisine. I also liked the huge atrium where community events are held. There were so many boys dressed as spiderman after a children's event.Written October 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
