- Lucy R1 contributionWe had an amazing time on this bar hopping tour with our leader Shunji! It’s a great way to discover Tokyo and go to venues you would never find on your own.
We started with dinner at an upstairs bar, then went to a basement sake tasting & finished with karaoke. It’s also a great way to meet people and have fun if you’re a solo traveller. Though I came with friends, we also befriended many solo travellers on this trip.
I’m sure every leader is great, but count your lucky stars if you get Shunji!! We learned a lot about Japan’s history and culture.
Momo personalized our walking tour as we wanted to spend more time at non-touristy areas.
It was a great tour - we covered a lot of ground literally and figuratively.

Tony took us to major sites such as Asakusa Temple, Tokyo Skytree, Ginza, and Shibuya Crossing. He was very knowledgeable about every site and Tokyo in general. We also had an authentic ramen dinner. We particularly liked the second restaurant, where the selections were completely unfamiliar to us and sooooo tasty. 10/10 would recommend and would do this again. - bshoptaughTachikawa, Japan181 contributionsThe trip was great, Goki was a great trip guide and expert in Shibuya- my guy lives there and works there. He's probably visited most of the restaurants, izakayas, and bars in the area being a local.
We first went to a sushi restaurant with bartop, very personal and delicious sushi.
Had a great recommendation from Goki on beer and sushi platter.
Next we walked to a local spot with kushikatsu, beer, and sake.
Final stop was an izakaya in a spot I'll describe as open air bar market.
Some tea and small dish of okonomiyaki. Plus a roaming guitar singer with PA system, never seen that before.
I can't plus up enough Goki, he is able to carry straight English conversations with tourists and switch back to fluent Japanese easily with servers and bartenders.
Wonderful tour guide. Felt like a friend after the night of tours and wandering the streets 🤠.

During our tour we also had the opportunity to experience the train system and discuss the importance of mass transit in Tokyo Japan.

He was very knowledgeable about the Japanese culture and provided insight on each location we visited. It was a little wild around the Shibuya square crossing area as Halloween is major holiday in Tokyo. The streets and train stations were very crowded with tourists and pedestrians dressed in costumes. We loved the atmosphere as we celebrated my son’s 18th birthday. The food and sauke were great. He even took us shopping to buy more Japanese-specific souvenirs (sauke flavored Kit-Kats) and wine. I recommend RamKy as your personal tour guide. And we absolutely had access to bars that would have been private otherwise. We first went to try the pancake with redbean oh my it was so delicious and then he took us to a standing sushi place. It was cozy and the food was amazing!
Akira was such a good guide because he is very helpful and patient with our needs.
He took us to the best places and really took the time to know what we want to eat.
